    Equipment: Safety is a priority in street hockey. All players must wear a helmet and gloves. While lower protection and knee pads are highly recommended, additional protective gear is also allowed to ensure players stay safe on the field.
    Keeper: The goaltenders, with the exception of skates, must wear full hockey goalie gear. This ensures they are well-protected against the fast and powerful shots they will face during the game.
    Game Outfits: Each team is required to have uniform uniforms with numbered jerseys. This not only fosters team spirit but also helps referees and spectators easily identify players during the match.
    Gaming Device: Street hockey events in Helsinki are played with an official StH match ball. This ball weighs approximately 80 grams and has a diameter of around 7 centimeters. It contains a liquid inside that dampens its bouncing, making the game more manageable and precise.
    Teams: In a standard game, there is one goalkeeper and five field players on the field at the same time, making a total of six players per team. The maximum number of players per team is 15, plus the goalkeeper. The goalkeeper can be replaced by an extra field player if needed. At the start of the game, each team must have a goalkeeper and at least five field players. Each team must also name a captain, who is marked on the jersey with the letter "C".
    In the 3 vs 3 series, there is one goalkeeper and three field players on the field at the same time. The maximum number of players in these teams is nine, plus the goalkeeper. Similarly, the team must have a goalkeeper and at least three players at the start of the game.
    Judiciary: Matches are officiated by trained St Hockey referees, ensuring that the game is played fairly and according to the rules.
    Game Time: For standard matches, the game lasts 2 x 10 minutes of direct time. The match ends when the referee's whistle blows. In the 3 vs 3 series, the game lasts for 15 minutes of direct game time.
