    I use a natural shampoo and that's it. No conditioner, no heat. My hair is thick and soft. When I cut the died hair off and allowed my hair to grow out naturally, I realized that when my hair is healthy it's very straight and much nicer than all the ghd straightener use I put it through!

    • @QuickSilverHair
      @QuickSilverHair  Před rokem

      Thank you. And from helping thousands of women transition to gray I can honestly say, I have never seen Mother Nature get it wrong where hair color, eye color, and skin tones are concerned.
      I started going gray at 13…I often say age and hair color have zero things in common.

    • @charlottesmom
      @charlottesmom Před rokem +1

      @@QuickSilverHair , Some ladies look washed out (but it may just be my old eyes), my mom has very red tones in her skin and her gray looks harsh at times (it is very white, not silver). Your coloring is just very complimentary, not sure mine will be so flattering (when it finally grows all the way out), but there is always makeup. 👍🏻

    • @charlottesmom
      @charlottesmom Před rokem

      @@mrnt1257 , I'm giving mine until my birthday (in May) to grow out enough to see at least a bit of what it would look like colorwise. I am liking what little I have grown out so far (about 1/2 inch) but I think I really need 6-7 more months to get a good look. You can always go back to dyeing if you don't find the color flattering, some ladies just don't like what they see when they get some good growth. No shame in dye if you really can't stand gray. 🤷🏻‍♀️

    • @QuickSilverHair
      @QuickSilverHair  Před rokem +1

      @@mrnt1257 I very seriously doubt your natural color is ugly!!! It certainly wasn’t my intention in this video to steer you away from wanting to grow out your natural color. More of a tutorial of the possibilities. Not everything I said is true for everyone. You will never know what you’ve got until you grow it out, and you may be very happy with it. And as my husband always reminded me during my grow out, just get there and if you hate it you know exactly where to go to dye it back the way you feel your best. You could be covering up something really really wonderful.

It's happening most around the crown, which tells me it's more male pattern. My mom said she lost hers too for many years and then it just stopped. I am 51 years old this year, I have not dyed my hair for 2 months, the inner hair roots are all white, but the most difficult thing is that the outer hair roots are too slow to grow a few inches, because it is the outer layer, because I have to go to work, and I feel very concerned about other people's eyes on my gray hair. I had to dye the outer layer of hair on the top of my head and keep the inner gray hair. Because I have dyed my hair for 20 years, I am too tired and don't want to dye my hair anymore. How can I make the outer layer of the head grow quickly without being ugly? How do i insist on not caring about (when i look in the mirror, i care about those few inches of white hair) and other people's eyes?

    • @QuickSilverHair
      @QuickSilverHair  Před rokem +3

      It is difficult in the beginning. But eventually you will start to be in awe of the beautiful whites coming in. When you love it your confidence will shine through and it won’t matter what other people think. That’s the first step is own it. Next pick the way you are going to grow it out and stick with it, the more you try different things the longer it extends the grow out.
