Christian Movie Based on True Stories | "Growth" | A Touching Testimony of Faith
Liang Xinjing is a Christian who lives a happy life with her husband and daughter. But because of the Chinese Communist Party's deranged push to persecute and arrest believers, her husband starts trying to stand in the way of her faith, afraid that she'll be imprisoned, and then his chances at being promoted will be impacted. Liang Xinjing remains strong in her resolve to follow God, even when her husband uses violence against her and ultimately insists on a divorce. Not long after their divorce, the Communist Party launches another wide-scale operation to arrest Christians, forcing Liang Xinjing to flee the region. The police and their "red armband" operatives continually interrogate and threaten her daughter, demanding to know her whereabouts. Living in a constant state of terror and anxiety, her daughter develops lymphoma. When Liang Xinjing learns of this, she sinks into a state of abject despair. How does she pray and rely on God to get through this hardship, this trial? What does she learn from it? Watch Growth and find out.

This movie reminds me when I was in Saudi. Hiding in a sound proof worshipping God. Not Knowing those moments I have a kidney disease then I went home still praising God even undergo dialysis, struggles waiting for my death luckily I have a donor I went through a successful Surgery... Praise God all the time...

I couldn't stop crying. Those of us that are in places where the gospel are preached and Christians gather freely should count ourselves very lucky. We have all the freedom yet we find it hard to remain committed to the faith compared to those who are still strong in faith in spite of the great persecution they go through. God please have mercy on us, grant us grace to remain steadfast and strengthen all those undergoing trials and tribulations all over the world in Jesus Name, Amen.

Lord has completely saved me from many addictions in my life.
When I tried on my own to get rid of these addictions. It was like trying to climb a very slippery mountain. I kept failing. I got disheartened and realised how weak I was. As the word of God says He is strong in our weaknesses. I cried out to Him and he did the unimaginable. From that moment it was like I never had these addictions at all. I am set free. It like God picked me up and placed me on the victory mountain. We are victorious in Him. We are overcomers in Him. He will do for you , what He has done for me and He will do for you even more. I’m in this space. I tried so deliver myself, I tried to cast this smoking demon out. I tried praying. I tried repenting. He delivered me then I went right back. It feels like I’ll never be free from it completely. I have faith but I feel so weak. So guilty. So ashamed. I’m trying so hard.

I have been crying throughout the movie its such a great blessing it reminds us where we stand.... I accepted christ when i was in grade 11 my parents are unbelievers they rather have me dead than see me convert ik the struggles of living with someone that doesn't share the same path i used to get beaten like her and my dad was alcoholic one time he tried to kill me and my sister interfered which caused her to be hospitalised and got a huge injury on her leg she is not able to walk properly till now and i was a coward i stopped going to church its been more than 11 months now i have never prayed out loud i share the gospel secretly i hide my bible and i told my parents am not a Christian after seeing this movie i realised that i didn't trust God i say i live for God but yet i denied following him

Don't lose faith and hope. I also took Christianity seriously this year and at first my parents were okay because they are lukewarm and when they see that my speech and everything converted they tried keeping from the churches and fellows that I go to but I rebelled they even told me not to read the bible because they believed that knowing my salvation was enough to get to heaven so this is happening still now for me even today. Anyways the moral if the story is don't lose faith❤❤❤❤

Beautiful movie. This small group stayed in the Word of God & worshipped Him together through all the persecution. They survived because they didn't put anything before the Lord. He said the if you love houses, land, family, or anything more than Him you're not worthy of Him.

Amen, The sister's experience makes me have a new understanding of the word "Christian". The Christians are not those who only worship God's name by mouth and seek bread to satisfy hunger, but those who do not succumb to the oppression of the forces of darkness, resolute to follow God even if they have to give up their whole lives. It reminds me of the verse, "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives to the death." (Revelation 12: 11)

Work with what you have, stay in the Word for faith cometh by hearing the Word of God. Read it to yourself out loud or with another Christian. Listen to Gospel and Christian music for worshipping God. Stop saying negative things about what you don't have and start praising God for what you do have, in Jesus' almighty name. When you start fighting the good fight of faith instead of doubting, you'll see how strong your faith really is sister. Honestly, God brought me to this movie for a reason. I've been struggling with my faith for a while now. Lord, I'm willing, I'm ready to yield. I surrender Lord.
I can better understand what my bro/sis are going through. Hiding, living in fear, being mistreated, abused, rejected, tortured, hungry, constant pain, sleep deprivation. When sitting in a comfortable chair and safety it's easy to forget what hardships others are facing.
This movies and another Chinese movie I watched last night are reminders to pray for others and understand one day it could happen here.
