- One of the problems with IVF is the amount of misconception and myths which surround IVF.
Technically, the patient sees the gynecologist (who is a physician) where a patient does the regular consultation; the follow-ups; ultrasound scan; egg collection, etc. But you don't have any idea what happens in the IVF lab and you never get to see the embryologist.

8 eggs are collected the 5th day means excat transfer day they told me my embryos are not growing

Same problem 20 eggs collected and injected sperm with 13 eggs after 6 days they said no embryo formed.. I am shocked.. everything is ok before icsi but this is shocking for me, please sir what is the solution for this
My 9 eggs have been collected. 6 have been fertilized. But only one embryo has been created by icsi. What is the problem?

Mere sath bhi same chiz hui.. Mera amh 0.6 h.. Or mere husband ki mortality bhi kam h.. 10 din tak injection lene ke baad mera ovum pick up hua.. 7 follicles bane the jisme se 3 me egg nikle.. Ovum pick up ke time doctor said ki eggs ki quality acchi h.. But 3 din baad doctor said ki amh kam hona ki wajah se eggs fertilize thik se nhi hue or 3rd day pe arrest ho gaye.. 😓

i had 9 mature eggs, but only 6 was fetilized with icsi. whats happened with another 3 eggs. they said all 9 eggs was mature
The fertilisation rate is never 100% ! Please ask for photos of your eggs and embryos
hello doctor i m a 39, yesterdy i went through egg retrieval and today embrologist says two eggs were collected and both were immature, afterwards icalled my doctor and told her she says one egg is fertilized only we will see the growth of that egg.. what should i do i m so diappointed.

I am from kolkata, in my ovum pick up, 20 oocytes were retrived, but after fertilisation , doctor is saying, all are C graded embryos, not growing cant be transferred, please help me what to do?

My AMH is 0.76 oocytes retrieved 2 what chances of fertilisation of eggs would be other all hormones are normal
The chances are low, sorry

Hello sir age 34 married for 3.5 years with amh 1.04
Concieved with mcda twins in 2022 had preterm loss at 27th week due to weak cervix
Later 2 failed iuis again concieved naturally in October 2023 ended up in missed abortion at 8 week doctor said could be due to poor egg quality
Did all tests like apla, karyotyping etc all came normal
So got my first ivf retrieval done where doctor could retrieve 7 , and I was informed only 1 made to blastocyst on day 6 of B grade , & asked for one more retrieval & then decide for egg donor it shattered me literally
Is my eggs of that poor quality where I have to opt for donor egg ?
It sounds like the IVF clinic you chose is of poor quality , and not your eggs

This was happen to me, i dont have any problems with my fertility while my husband has severe oligoasthenoteratozoospermia. Then we are doing ivf with imsi. At the first they said from ovum pick up procedure i have 3 mature eggs and none is abnormal. While from imsi my husband has cryptozoospermia. Suddenly the day after ovum pick up they told us there was no fertilization and blame that my eggs is not good enough. They said my eggs was the reason of failure fertilization. I was very sad and dissapointed.

Dr. Malpani on day 5 they told us all 8 of our embryos died. What is next? The bad part is through this year long process several times two different people called with complete different answers on the topic including the embryos all dying last week & the next day the nurse said there was 2 perfectly formed & 6 still with good hopes. This is terrible & to top it off our insurance is about to be maxed out sad😢please give us some advice. Do we have to repurchase all the medications again? Nothing is ever explained to us. Thank you in advance!
Please please find a better clinic ! Don't let a bad clinic mess up your chances. Please demand photos of your embryos !
The nurse told us today they don’t take photos until the embryos become blastocyst 😢 Nurse also said the doctor is too busy & can’t talk to us for two weeks. But she told my wife to look into adoption 😢

Dr Malpani ,I have a patient saw today from indian background and they did have a child from treatment in India ,and for the first time in my 20 years career I have never encountered something like that ,the patient told me he has obstructive azoospermia , fine needle biopsy done, sperm extracted and he said they used it for IUI and he wants to do the same thing in Australia , and as you know it is impossible for such sperm to be used for IUI.That makes me have doubts about treatments given in India, any explanation ?

Empty follicle syndrome is usually an iatrogenic problem ( created by the doctor)

Hi, I was suppose to have embryo transfer on Monday afternoon which is the fifthday since retrieval. I got a call early in the morning from the laboratory telling me that unfortunately my embryo is growing slow, its 40cells but it should be 100-120 cells. They said they are going to wait and see if it grows in 2 days. If it does grow they would freeze it. Can you please tell me if there is a chance it may grow and pick up?

This happened to me three days ago..after the 5 days one embryo made it..It is frozen now waiting for next cycle. I was supposed to have a fresh transfer as well. Did you try again?
Come on eggs not fertilizing is a common natural thing. Even if a clinic offers a donor oocyte they still gonna fertilize it so you are contradicting your statement
In a good lab, most eggs do fertilise ! Especially if they are from a young fertile donor
Hi sir my age is 35 my husband age is 37.I have low amh value 0.9 and have no other issues my husband has good sperm count but morphology is 1 percent(given )in ivf centre.but before month it's tested in ivf my husband got 10percent morphology.when gonal f and menatos injections are given for 10days I got 7 oocytes out of 7 five are mature they said.my husband sperm is also normal they said.after fertilization on day 5 they called us and explained that only one embryo is formed as but it is slow.after that they explained that 4 grade b embryos are found on day 3 one is c or d grade.but four embryos has stopped growing on day 3 but one has is formed as ball of cells but not turned to blastocyst.they didn't give any pictures.so ivf cycle is cancelled.sir please tell me what may be the real cause behind failed embryo formation.they also said both eggs and sperm are of good quality.
Actually dr asked us for 3 cycles of egg pooling because u have low amh they told.for amh value less than 0.3 u have to go for pooling they said but i have had 0.9,but we opted to go for single cycle but it has failed.dr said most probably u will get 2 eggs but she is also surprised that i got 7 eggs.but they failed our cycle in fertilization i think.but is it real problem with our own cells or is it the embryologists fault to do icsi.
Where are the photos of your embryos ?
This is not correct. You have a legal right to your medical records - every hospital has to provide them by law ! Please make a request for this in writing.
The only tangible product an IVF clinic can deliver is embryos ! All good clinics provide embryo photos proactively and routinely
Any clinic which does not provide embryo photos is a poor quality clinic.
Please find a better clinic if you want to maximise your chances of success - one which does only blastocyst transfers and provides embryo photos routinely to all patients
What if all the sperm were stuck to the zona of the most of the eggs (most mature) yet one egg managed to fertilise?

I don't agree with you at all ,as Dr IVF specialist this should be not happen in IVF lab by Naturally , as we said about doctor make OPU FOR pt PCOS and dining ET.!!!
