Great video. Detailed and straight to the point. Love the fact that you really tested this out and are offering the real details of how it plays.
Would like to see a level breakdown, feats breakdown (not sure if I missed it).
Also, having more visual contrast between different segments of your build breakdown would help with legibility. Changing up the backgrounds, or even some clips of you moving around some minis during the combat explanations would help a lot.
Either way you’ve won a subscriber.

All great ideas. I am working on a new build now and will try to incorporate some of these suggestions. Thank you for the feedback.

I ran a straight Oathbreaker as "Oathless" a young man who is rash and passionate that just wants to be a hero.
He got an undead girallon when he was level 4 as his undead thrall he named Ire, paired with his Steed, a lion named Ego, each creature became favorites of my teammates.

An unusual damage dealer I've seen is at least 5 levels of Hexblade, then Zealot Barbarian.
Cast Armor of Agathys before battle, while you're raging you'll half *most* damage against those temporary hitpoints. Other spell slots can be used to with the Eldridch Smite invocation, even while raging. With Reckless Attack you'll almost always have initiative. Pact of the Blade gets you a two handed weapon using your Charisma and Great Weapon Master brings the damage. Can be paired with Elven Accuracy. The invocations Maddening Hex or Cloak of Flies can used while raging. Improved pact weapon is also good at low levels.

Love the video, it's my first time watching one of your videos but it was difficult to watch as the moving background gave me motion sickness. Maybe not have it moving the entire time? Keep up the great work!

Agreed. On our guides post the Hexblade we have stopped that. You can see the Tabaxi Shadowdancer or Grandmaster of the Booming Blade for examples. In truth we are still trying to streamline these videos. Its not a skill set I have naturally. Love the feedback.

@@tacticalgamer1634 Well, I believe the most Important and Engaging part in this videos is being clear whenever you speak, and you do that with ease :p Me being a non native English speaker find quite easy to understand you. If I have to say anything, I would like some images straight from the Wiki so I can fully understand what spell you're talking about and have more references so I can fully comprehend the strategy and the combo. Since I'm kinda new in D&D a reference from the wiki really helps, but that's about it, keep up the good work and thank you again!

The one thing is, the hexadin as built is really feat intensive. But it is also one of the builds that benefits the most from elven accuracy. So the question is whether giving up a feat and spending another is worth losing out on asi/feats. Personally I'd consider trading out sentinel. If every character gets a feat at 1st level I'd suggest half-drow and elven accuracy right off the bat.

Interesting; I would like to play test that out to see how well it works. We added the Sentinel Feat because as we were engulfed in darkness fighting with a few of our summoned undead at our side, the DM would target the our summoned over the player because the attack roll was not at disadvantage which would trigger the Sentinels attack of opportunity for us, of course once this was used several times over several fights the DM would switch tactics to just rolling at disadvantage. Some would even try moving out of Darkness which would also trigger Sentinel again giving us a reaction attack. Reaction Attacks happen often in this build and I am not certain that rerolling a dice would test out better but I think its worth playing side by side to see how well Elven Accuracy works.

This gives me an idea for a new Guide @eli. A crit heavy build combining the Champion with Elven Accuracy and some synergies where they can generate their own advantage. I will have to research that one.

We go into more detail in the guide, however for this build we take the first two levels in Paladin, the next 3 in Warlock, 1 more in paladin, then Warlock for 7th and 8th. Paladin again to level 11, Warlock for 12th, Paladin for 13th. Warlock for the rest This distribution gets you weapons/armor prof. While keeping a fast pace to the darkness spell and an keeps undead minions flowing as you level.

Interesting combination. Great stat synergy for sure. I will have to play around with that combination to see where the level dips make since but thank you. Anything that thematically leans towards a necromanicer feel is always awesome.

It gets exhausting seeing all the hexadin "death knight" builds that use polearms. Sorry, death knights are not famous for using glaives or polearms. Stick with Greatsword for theme.
