1-Soul ash earnable in daily wins for BG, RBG, arena etc.? Even if it takes a while at least we don't HAVE to do ChoreGhast. And/Or add some item rewards to each ChoreGhast wing per week?
2-Catchup mechanic for honor and conquest gear (earned at much faster rate the further behind you are).
3-Remove the Venari maw rep grind for sockets or add the ability to get sockets purchasable with Conquest points?
4-Starting honor gear high ilvl 180-187 and max upgrade ilvl 200-205
5-PVP balancing patches where have they gone? If you don't have the dev bandwidth (I don't believe this but hey that's just me), then hurry up and add templates back or partial templates.
6-Buff consistent damage and nerf cooldown stacking. It's horrible to hit for 2k every global outside of CD's then do 10k per hit for 10 seconds during. Except if you are a warrior of course.
It's not a nice feeling when you dps someone for a while and all they need to do is press 1 no cooldown or short cooldown ability to ignore you. Except if you are a warrior of course.
7-Remove this time-gating on covenant switching... or at least remove the need to grind out dungeons or quests to do so etc. Remove the conduit power time-gate at the same time.
OH and.... ADD SOLOQ
One point to add to the SOLOQ, that nobody seems to mention, is if you play on non-peek hours having to LFG is even worse.
My friends are quitting because of boosting/coaching. Literally can't play at 1800 rating without meeting a 3k player who plays all day every day. So thanks for that. It's a bigger problem than lack of solo queue at the moment. You guys are contributing to ruining the game for 20 people every time you help 1.

The problem is not LFG. It is the people. The huge gear difference between rating is the real problem. Gladiators say all the time that gear in not the deciding factor but if that were true then there would be no need to hand out the best gear to the highest rated players. Instead could give highest rated players titles and cosmetic rewards. But there money on the line and this system is the best for selling carries. So there you go.
Forced to PVE just to PVP this late in the season.

I feel like this a lot. I want to PVP, but I never find people I actually want to que up with normally, so I start PVEing with my Guild. Then, I get kind of bored with that, and it sucks. I shouldn't have to settle for just doing PVE all the time because I can't PVP whenever I want with homies.
I find strange that most streamers don't even touch the real cause of problem which is the stupid idea of gear upgrades tied to rating, no1 asked for that, since most of the pvp comunity don't even do arena to begin with, maybe because when blizzard announced this change, they made videos glorifyg the "new" system, now that's the result... Hopefully they will implement WOD pvp system again in patch 9.1, and fix most of the problem

@@dontbanwarren The reward should be prestige. Stuff like titles and such. Gear should honestly not matter much if at all. That's how proper competitive pvp games like CS or Valorant or even MOBAs work.

By definition "competitive" things have zero requirement for an "equal playing field" while "sports" do support a definition where all groups participating are required to operate under the same rules. I am going to assume you are talking about sports when you are talking about it as such.
If you're saying you just see it as a competitive game and not a sport there is no issue with the current situation by your own admission. CS for example is treated as a "ESport" and has rules as such.

The fact you don't get conquest for losing games is so dumb when the cap is 8800 and you only get 25 per win in 2s

If you give points for losing people are just gonna join and lose, not play the game, let themselfs be killed. It won't be good for the game, the lower brackets will be full of people not actually playing.

@@Mamajoe942 it's simple though, just increase from 25 per win to 75. At the very least, have it scale to a characters cap so you get more when your cap is very high.

But tbh they should just make gearing as in warlords, pvp scaling was a good thing for arenas, maybe not so much for world pvp, but for arenas it was really good. You did not feel completely worthless as a newly dinged max lvl in arena games, and gear did not matter that much.

arenas are ridiculous rn. Me and my friend was playing freshly capped characters which we aren't very good at playing, we got around 200ilvl with covenant gear, legendary and some conquest pieces and the games at 1300mmr are like 40% of them against overgeared people i swear we meet one 215-227 guy in an enemy team, another 30% against some difficult comps like RM which we got not great win rate against and another 30% are against alright teams where we naturally win or lose depending on how we actually performed. Maybe guys with 227 gear shouldn't be matched with teams who has mmr below 2100 or something? I mean almost half of our games we forced to play in huge disadvantage. I'm are not really pissed, because i will probably give up on shitty 2s and grab another friend to play 3s where things are a bit better but not for long i guess. But conquest situation is really makes me mad. How da fuk im supposed to cap 8000 conquest in that situation? 200ilvl pvp gear is not even powerful atm and pvp part of the game is SEASONAL and now we are freaking 4 months into season. Obtaining 200ilvl pvp gear shouldn't be that hard! Look at WOD or MOP, capping conquest was fun and easy: you play at the very bottom of a ladder, getting used to a characeter and getting gear fast. You know why it was that easy? Because pvp gear was separated from pve via pvp stat. Devs said that they dont want to differenciate gear because of entry barrier. Like you got pve gear and you want to get into pvp - got and do that. Yeah, that is exactly how it feels now right? Just go and do that... for a month of grinding.
There should be 200 conquest for loss and 250 for win as reward in rated arena.
Gears should be wildly available to the point where getting a character to the minus 15 ilevels from max of that season should be a day or two of work.

If a few buddies werent comitted to keep me ingame id have quit. Tired of dealing with 40k+ hp dudes when playing arena with 30k hp, the no lifers/hardcore crowd effectively kill the fun of the casual folk. We still end up winning alot, its not that, its also just tiresome grinding arena games to never climb any rating on a positive win/loss ratio versus either supergeared guys (better gear = advantage) or hypercarry 0 rating paired with a friggin glad guy... A week ago i had 170 ilvl and am sick of getting paired versus 220... insert ilvl in the matchmaking pls.... more hp = more damage = more armor = more vers = uneven playing field. Its not blizzard so much, its the over demanding addicted no lifers that spoil my fun.

Real talk, 170 is ridiculous low ilvl. You can't blame "no lifers" when you can go from 160ilvl to 200+ in less than a day.

Conquest for loss. 10 conquest for losing, 25 for win in 2s and 20 for loss and 50 for win in 3s.
Make all gear missive driven. But a naked piece and put stats into it.

Even if they added solo queue. All the higher rated players just wouldn't use it and it would just be all the low geared players squabbling with each other. The problem is the ilvl disparity. Despite blizzard doing a level/ilvl squish again, they still stick to this insane design of having crazy high ilvl power creep so it still has the same problems and will quickly end up with the same issues as before, and need ANOTHER squish. They wouldn't need to squish so much if ilvl didn't skyrocket.

blizzard can create a mentor system which will help to new players and also aid to experienced players. when there was no lfg system back in 2005 it was easier to get friends. Now it is like playing with bots.

This explains my experience with 100% accuracy. I love WoW pvp, but the barrier to entry on arena is huge. Even equally rated players with equal gear dont want to queue with someone in the same situation as them and everyone disbands after only a couple of losses.

the game has become rotten since we put the addons and people can no longer play instinctively and are forced to play with software to assist, and reveal the skills of the opponent if he used this or that. all this to tell you that you are cheating and know that all you have done is only that you have been not helping something and not yourself, I think you will have to question yourself after reading this.

Solo Queue is one solution. Another is to make rated queues based on an ilvl range, not some shabby reimplementation of gear scaling. They could solve this in like 9 lines of code, I swear. Players with better gear SHOULD have an advantage over undergeared players. However, the only time this should occur is in world pvp or duels. The gear gaps between players is ridiculous. No new player or even a pro gearing an alt wants to queue against a 45k hp ret pally that wipes your team with one global while you're sitting at 600mmr. Too much of arena is based on gear and not skill, which is unfortunate for any aspiring arena player. Idk about you all, but i'd rather sit in a BG / Arena queue for 10x as long to be queued against a team whose ilvl is within 10 of my teams average ilvl.

The game is super super fun for elite players...... they have friendlist full of other elite players and they can get igh rating / get into groups super easy. Casuals spend more time in LFG than playing ranked, thats horrible.

I refuse to care about this game more than Blizzard does, which feels like not at all. WoW feels more like a lobby game, and I don't know what I'm waiting around for anymore.

As prot warrior and 194 ilvl did a +14dos (timed), next week did a+10 (timed) and healer complained about me being barely 200 ilvl even tho he couldn't heal himself and I as prot was doing fine on my own. They dont care what is your mains score if youre on an alt. They want 220+ and juicy score.
People are bad at the game and toxic. Without friends its shit. I dont even log on now if nobody is on Discord.

I will say, I actually love torghast. I think its a much much better version of visions and the progression to complete the twisted corridors was very fun. That being said, it is an expansion feature, pvp is a game mode that will and should always be in the game and take priority. If I remember correctly there were stat templates in legion that helped when playing alts for pvp, would that not be a quicker fix to help with gear balance? I dont remember what people didn't like about the templates
Gearing 1 months ago was quite easy for me but that was probably because I am a healer and it’s easy for me to get groups
just fking lower the req in rating to upgrade a piece to 226, like have it at like 1600 instead of 2.4
or have it like in mist of pandaria where you just cap ur conquest and buy the gear as it is,,,,
@@Legendcommentaries2 I'm actually stuck in 1330 because once I get close enough to 1400 I que with people that have upgraded their gear which is a huge boost to every armor piece so I drop to 1200 then win a bunch in a row to then run into those people again. So frustrating

It's bc by the time I got my legendary & Ilvl was caught up, people were getting to +15 keys to get 15 ilv ahead & I was already burnt from just getting up to that point & re-rolling to sub rogue took a toll on me in arenas.. trying to arena123 all that CC & other abilities is not easy & just want more time for FPS games.
That's why I quit for now.
Also legion had large updates every 70 days. For shadowlands it is expected to take 255 days from launch. Shadowlands isn't as detailed and refined as the other expansions. it feels like quick weekend work. Also the shadowlands it way too dark and modern. I miss old wooden caberns, sparkling fire places, green hills... Just a bit more the classic fantasy theme with dragons and unicorns, you get the vibe...

I played my first ever rated arena solo queue, my guy is a ww monk runs in and instantly dies I manage to kill 1 but sadly loose to the second guy with 10% hp left, team mate messages me "you should just quit the game and stop queuing you fucking trash ret cant even do a dps rotation" feels good to be back guys

On which server and what is the name? I am on outland and getting invited anywhere as someone who came back after long break is hard. Cant even get invited in mythic dungeons.
the fact that they keep adding power creeps through out the life of an expansion probably deters new players as well. they should normalize gear so a fresh 60 doesnt have half the HP of a geared 60, i understand its an mmo but most mmo's have normalized gear that dont increase in power from every update. this would promote playing your class skillfully and not relying on having gear. because at this point, wow has always been gear > skill. no body wants to play wow exclusively like a job just to be viable in competitive play. i always hated playing the new xpac on launch and being similarly geared to everyone, then i quit playing for a month or two and when i get back everyone has twice the amount of stats.
It's not just the new players who are quitting because of it, a lot of old ones too who no longer support this omnipresent and inappropriate elitism in this game.
And this observation on the pvp lfg is exactly the same on the pve side too.
I have been playing the game for 14 years and today this ubiquitous min/maxing mentality wears me out and takes me away any fun of the game.
As someone new to shadowlands who didnt played since mop, its really hard to pvp. I capped honor gear and luckily i have one friend playing with me and we play pretty solid, but what the fuck am i supposed to do against bis people spamming low rating? Gear shouldnt be locked behind high rating this late in season. Give them some elite pvp skins and shit, i am all for that, but seriously we are stuck. We win against 90% of enemy teams that are our gear, but every other team are bis players and you cant do shit against that big gap in gear, even though many of those teams suck, you just cant kill someone with 20% versatility. Also for pve content i cant get a single invite into mythic dungeon because i am playing new char without achivs. Really dumb that they dont give a fuck and we are stuck somewhat. We are still trying to climb a bit, but its really hard against super geared people that smurf low rating. Also they have automatic LFG for heroic dungeons but no for mythic. Why? If i have gear needed, just give me automatic group maker so i can at least try to get some achivs. Really stupid. Also thorgast, anima, honor farms, covenants and renown, like seriously tooo much, and then add gold gap for new players. Retail is insanely bad for coming back or new players. I play wotlk on private servers, its really not that punishing to gear up a new character and to reach LOD and RS 25 hc, even without achivs.

unfortunately you will undergo this same crappy situation at tbc when you want to do arenas. And the system will be even worse, it will be necessary to create a team before being able to enter the arena. Even on classic vanilla, elitism is omnipresent, it will be the same or even worse on tbc.
Well, at least on TBC, pvp gear upgrades alongside pve gear. You're not left behind.

It's way less tricky. Just spam bg to get some gear (and you can soloqueue that) and voilà. You'll have decent ilvl compared of the rest of the playerbase.
So no. Won't totally be the same as SL. WIll you find elitist along the way ? Yeah. But it's clearly more newcomers/reroll friendly.

its because no one is there and even when they are, they dont say shit. its like everyone in wow has some much social anxiety from playing wow they can't even just type hello. its like why would u want to play where u should be working and playing with other people but those people just feel like lifeless bots..
I don't think solo Q will fix the issue by no means look at TBC,wrath,cata the biggest Esports moments of wow. that is because people were more social and duel 24/7.
World of warcraft.. I can´t even recognize the game today. Maybe it has to do with the game, mby because of the playerbase. I was interested and played WoW because it was literally built on social interaction. You couldn´t get anywhere without it. These days it seems like the complete opposite. You can´t stay competitive if you don´t play solo using the LFG systems. I dunno if the playerbase changed the game or if the game changed the playerbase but I will never return to wow that´s for sure.
I did play classic and even there some plebs are minmaxing waaay to hard... but atleast you´d get in contact with people and the world felt so much more vivid and alive. My last expansion was Cata, and then I thought the world was plastic and empty.. I can´t imagine how it is now (I´ve followed the development in hopes of a fun and new turn for the game).
If you enjoy the game please let me know why or how, because from what I´ve been able to see and heard.. it sounds like garbage just like cata.

It's only 9.0 and the gear scaling is so huge already. Gear is way too important. My favorite patch is historically X.0 because of the more even playing fields

Just implement better in-game voice and let people solo que for arena. Yeah you'll lose, yeah you'll have some meh teammates, but the games will be quick, and people might actually find someone they like playing with that way.

this is really great! pvp guilds are a great, the thing is i play on EU in a pvp server and the pvp guilds are most part dead and the ones that have players they will ask you rating!
i hope some great people fom EU that have the knolage to lead and help others do the same.

Trouble is, and always has been, is more people pve than pvp, only reason more people are pvping at early expansion is you had to in order to get better gear. Raids and mplus had dog shit gear compared to pvp. Then these pve players realised they can't even get the gear in pvp because it's harder than pve with boosters etc, so they all quit.
