Matt, I do abstract art all the time, and use the run-off for earrings and pendants. Never thought of this idea. You are great. Thanks for the new projects.💕💯

You're doing exactly what's on my mind to do with all of that paint that you're using/waisting on making those earrings. You're doing a great job on both earring making and art work.

I’ve done a lot of pouring. These earrings are really cute. Little surfboard looking.
Awsome! You are such an ARTIST!!
Hi Matt, stretch and tape down a heavy black garbage bag, and pour and dry on that for earrings if you don’t have a silicone mat. It will peel right off.
Thank you for sharing as well!

This is so cool. Why didn’t I think of that? New subbie.

SERIOUSLY WOW!!! I am so glad to see this. But I miss Matt Talk!
You’re Amazing 😉
Super wapoo nice 1 .

Thankyou Matt😊
Blessings from the Sky World
Wow 😍
Beautiful!!! What does the WD40 do to the paint?
This is why I came to the comment section.
Super
Hi Matt, love your creativity. How did you cover the opposite side or did you leave it bare? Did you hang the final canvas on the wall?
Hi Tanya, I wondered how it would work too but the paint mostly seeped underneathe each piece and coated the back. A few pieces had bare spots and I hit them with some colored sharpies.
AMAZING!!! Do you seal the earrings once they are dry? I really like that Matte look they have!!
Acrylic paint seals itself
These are so beautiful. After they dry, do you use a spray to seal the color?
You can. I did not because I was in a hurry.
Bravo you
Oooh!! Love this. I make jewellery from polymer clay (amongst other things!) This gives me ideas 😁 Lovely art and really gorgeous earrings at the same time 👍👍 love the music playing while you pour over the earrings .... what is it? 🤗😁😊
Such a great video!! I wish I knew the type of drill he is using! ♥
Any drill will work
@@MattsCrazyArt I've tried different drills/bits but they all leave splintering😓
For clean drill holes and so you don't crack the wooden piece when drilling, use a piece of painter's tape drill through it. Then you'll have no issues.
I'm looking at your older videos again today. I also do beadwork and I saw a woman who bezels just about anything with beads, bottle caps, buttons, whatever. Why couldn't I make some of these wooden painted pieces to use in beaded jewelry!? I'm always having to think budget. Thanks for giving me another idea. Maybe if you glued a few together so it's thicker, you might be able to wire wrap them as well.
All of the above!
Wow
Hello love your work. Does the paint easily peel off the earrings?
No, not at all
Awesome idea. The earrings look great. Question for you, its hard to tell what the finish looks like, not quite matte or glossy??
I usually put a quick spritz of any glossy spray and let it dry for an hour but with these, the gloss or matte finish is just in the paint.
One more question how would I seal them? Thanks Terri
MATT AWESOME
I've been only watching you for a little while and you already have 3000 subs, congrats, and many more to come 👍🤗😎
These are wonderful. Where did you find the wood blanks. Keep up the good work.
Michael's Crafts. Probably can get them online :)
Could you please describe how to reproduce this? Would love to try paint pouring ♡♡♡
Elena, there are a ton of videos on youtube for paint pouring.
Basically, you mix small amounts of paint with half paint, half white school glue. Then you add water till it's like very runny pancake batter or thick butter milk.
Then you pour little bits into a cup and when the cup is full enough to cover a canvas, you just dump it any which way.
Also, people buy this silicone stuff to mix in to make it flow better and make fun designs. I used WD40, an oil lubricant for fixing metal parts because one video said you could use that as a substitute for silicone.
You can look up "Silicone for paint pouring" online. It's like $16 for a bottle.
Then watch some videos. Everyone does it a little different. Some people get crazy effects.
These are gorgeous!! Do you repaint the backs of them or leave the paint as is? Such beautiful work!❤️
If you slide them around, the paint flows under the backs too and coats the whole piece.
If that doesn't work, you can paint the backs.
I wonder will this work with Dollar Tree paints?
Nice. What type of paint is being used?
how long does it take to dry on the canvas??
🤩🤩🤩
I love paint pouring but it is hard to do it here cuz so humid.
What do you charge for these at shows? And your simple wire wrap ring technique? Thanks in advance
At the moment these earrings would probably sell for $15 - $20 per pair
Did u flip them over so both sides were painted or did the paint just run under them and get the back side
The front I painted then glued the wood pieces on and cut them out so you could see.the colorful paint on the front. But I just painted the backs black so if it spins around it won't look like bare wood.
What do you use for the base board.
