Kerber is such a tough match-up for Venus, makes very few errors and redirects pace better than most players. Glad to see Venus gut this one out. What a fighter.
2014 was the first time ever Venus played in Montreal. Montreal crowd loved her. She reached the final, but lost to Radwanska. It was the sixth game in 6 days and maybe it was too much for Venus, knowing the disease she had.
I love this match so much. Both played great but the thing I really loved it Venus found that second gear, almost getting into that real vintage Venus mode, and at some points really getting to that level. I also like the fact these players don't make drama but just go out there to play their heart out. Great stuff from both. Something like these deserved a Slam final stage honestly.
Venus you are a legend and a wonderful role model for the next generation one of the best matches I have observed for a long time quality tennis the winner of that match deserved to win the tournament Love Venus for her work ethic and talent yaaa
Venus should have won the title. She was the best player in the tournament that year. But all of the tough matches against Kerber & Serena took it out of her she was tired in the final against Radwanska. In the final Radwanska was hitting winners agaisnt Venus that Venus would normally get to. Even the final point can tell Venus had no energy. Venus got her revenge against Radwanska though she never lost to Radwanska again after that match in 2014.

Aggie was too good for her, don't take away Aggie's victory. It was 3rd straight victory of Aggie over Venus.
