- Episode Three: In this thrilling episode, Steve shows us his beautiful 1964 Thunderbird convertible; moreover the wonderful piece of automotive art that is the car’s fully functioning convertible roof. Then there is a road trip around the tree-lined avenues of leafy Charlotte, and Steve learns something of corn dogs and drive-in diners…
Steve can’t keep ‘em all, and this true classic is for sale. If interested, text or call Cyrus Klaesi: 702.286.3248. Cyrus understands that some of his friend’s cars need to be sold from time to time, whereas Steve does not fully grasp this notion.
Beautiful T-Bird. They get lots of attention when on the road.
Thank you!
Fantastic episode. Keep making more!
Steve, keep making content like this! It would be cool to see more of the work. But, how was the corn dog?
Up the Steve Matchett

Thank you! Hope you're both keeping well!
Steve on the A/C: "Make it so."
Hey Steve, great video. I need to first say that These Thunderbirds are notorious for falling into reverse by themselves due to the design of the steering column and shift linkage. You should NEVER EVER start the car or leave the car without first sliding the steering column to the right and setting the E-brake. Just sayin'. Its interesting that the car has cruise control but roll up windows and no air. Most are the other way around since cruise is very rare. AC doesnt really do much for the value of these cars, they are not worth that much to begin with. For the run of the mill Thunderbird, condition and whether or not they are a convertible is far more important. It sounds like it runs very nice. Nice car, thanks for the video.
Thank you. It was a great fun car. We enjoyed getting it to a point where a new owner could decide on its eventual finish. And, as ever, no sooner had we posted the video, had we received a number of offers for the car. It sold almost instantly. I hope the new owners are having fun with it.
FE series started in 1958 as a 332 cubic inch
OMG what's that silver open wheeled car in front of the Ford GT?! :)
Looks like a F1 Porsche
are they Chevy Rallye Wheels?
Steve what was wrong with your I have a 64 Thunderbird and my convertible top can you please give me some tips for what you did to fix I would love to drive minds the way you please help 🙏 matt
It was age of components mostly. Corroded connections on relays; pitting on hydraulic rams; all of that stuff.
