Not only was he pitching and hitting, he was pitching and hitting while playing catcher of all positions. That’s insane if you think about it. And he’s 6’7”, Crews is easily the best player in the country. It’s not even close but Skenes and Dollanger are the top pitching prospects. And his fastball isn’t mirb90s. He throws 100+ and hit 102 many times this year
I’m surprised this video even mentions anything hitting related. Dude could be a really good hitter and still any coach with half a brain(any gm or scout for that matter) wouldn’t even ask about his hitting. At this point it would be a novelty.
I think they'll go 1-2 in the draft. Not sure which one I'd take first. Both have off-the-charts makeup and work habits. I saw LSU play at Texas A&M and Skenes was regularly touching 100 almost effortlessly.
@@gsjackson34 I'd say Crews is first, but that's not downing on Skenes at all. Just Crews has been incredible, it's hard to pass up on him at one. I think Skenes ends up being a better player though. Both going to be stars in the league.
Looking back on this script. I didn't do a good job. If you want to check out future vids.. like tmr you'll see that it's improved. But this video's from more than a month ago and I had no clue what I was doing lol. I appreciate the comment though!

I think what’s happening is somebody puts the video together and then gets on fiverr or one of those sites to hire someone to read the script. Often times that person doesn’t know what the hell the subject matter is even about.
The fact that he’s 6’6” 265 pounds makes me think he’s going to have the type of frame to log a ton of innings in the majors
That and his velocity is great. He'll be an amazing MLB starter if he stays consistent.

He is not the all time biggest prospect. He isn’t Strausburg out of college
I'd say it's pretty close, although Strasburg was an all-around better player. Skenes has better command on his fastball and uses it better.

A month ago you said this and probably it was correct but by the end of the season Skenes was the best player in the country period.
Well he was up to 102.7 this last Saturday

He could be a great hitter, I think he's a really big all around talent and that's part of the reason whatever team picks him up is really lucky.

It's hard to say tbh. When Skenes gets to the pros, he'll have a better understanding of "elite" hitters. And more time around other pros..
