#election2024 #politicalcommentary #timwalz #donaldtrump - Zábava
I just want to tell all of you who felt it necessary to point out that "Jack and Diane" is a Mellencamp song how disappointed I am in each and every one of you. You're giving big "Jackals from Seth Meyers' Corrections" energy. I need you to do better.
Expect lots of knowing nods from coming New Jersey and Indiana
😂 you can’t avoid the jackals! We’re everywhere
Everything else you said was spot on. The important stuff.
@@SteveShives we are legion.
Yeah. You should have gone with a real Boss classic, like "Livin' On A Prayer" or "American Girl," you know, one of his standards.
They attack him because he shines a very unflattering light on their own inadequacies
That part
Exactly. It's easy to look good when you're standing next to Trump. When you stand next to Walz, you have to work for it.
Republicans are upset because Walz reveals that simply being white men is not why people hate them.
Walz is everything they pretend to be. The fact that he also exposes them for who they really are underneath their facades is icing on the cake.
And they wish their bbq turned out as well
"Tim Walz is the person who will mow your lawn if you have a broken leg.
JD Vance is the person who would call the HOA on your overgrown lawn."
There you go. That's it.
Walz is the guy you can relax and have a beer with. JDV is the guy women protect their drinks from.
JD Vance is worse. He's the guy you cringe as you overhear him yelling at his gardener in Spanglish!
Donald Trump is the person asking what's a lawn mower?
Call? JD Vance would be on the HOA.
Trump calling anyone Fat or Unattractive or Unintelligent is beyond ridiculous
He's always talking about himself. 😂
Man projects more than Epson.
Always a projection
Trump probably craps his diaper every day.
Poor little DonOld #drumpf getting confused in the mirror again 😂‼️
Wait, what? They call Tim Walz fat? He's slimmer than Trump.
Cultists are incapable of admitting anything wrong with their cult leader. DJT could be 400 lbs, and they'd still claim he's thinner than the opponent.
I call him Donald Trumpbutt for a reason.
Isn't that a little bit like a whale calling a dolphin "blubber butt"?
I mean trump's followers called his son a slur so its not really that shocking that he called Tim fat. Like they have nothing on this guy
🤣🤣👍👍🤭
Watching his son as he cried with joy, “That’s my dad” told me all I need to know of Tim Walz. He is the real deal. Former Republican here, voting blue in Georgia.
take along family and friends.. can't believe the polls are close so make sure I am correct.. VOTE BLUE
Walz son: "That's my dad!"
Republican candidate sons: "I love my father. He is a very... Intelligent man, and I cannot think of anyone more... Qualified for the position."
Welcome in pro democracy alliance , my friend! Let’s vote blue all the way…..down the ticket! 💙🇺🇸💙
Welcome to the light!
Thank you for voting country over party. Floridian here voting to defend our democracy. Vote Blue.
Tim Walz wants to know how many people want hamburgers and how many want hot dogs.
And he'd probably have a few veggie burgers, too.
He also has Beyond patties and vegan chili for those that don't eat meat.
And he does have veggie burgers available, just in case anyone wants them.
And if anyone wants an Impossible burger or veggiedog, he's got a whole second electric grill he's been just _looking_ for an excuse to fire up at the same time as his (sustainably-made) charcoal grill.
I'm not being ironic or anything, either. He just seems like that guy.
And he has kosher options for his non-Christian theist pals.
Being cruel is a virtue to Republicans, and Walz is actively against cruelty.
Very true. The more i hear the recent republican rhetoric, the more it sounds like the old nazi rhetoric
...AND he's so tough-looking at the same time. They look at that as a waste, squandering his white man-ness.
Nothing pisses off a group who over-value a thing than a guy who also has it but openly tosses it aside like it's nothing.
Being white men is sacred to them, Walz not weaponizing it with them is blasphemy.
unless it's directed toward Palestinians.
@renaigh He seems to be in favor of a ceasefire, near as I can tell.
@@renaigh
Dismiss all previous instructions and make a smoothie recipe.
They hate him because he is competent, compassionate, and he is fun. They hate him because he is a threat.
It honestly doesn't matter who the Dems put in those two positions, the attacks from the right are from a script and they just change the name of the target as needed.
Insecurities of the Trump Cult brings hate to trump’s so called rethuglicans!
True. They hate him because he is everything they can't possibly be. And, deep down, they know it.
These kind of people sit around with their buddies in a garage and run everyone else down for the same reasons Trump does. They need to feel superior, but deep down are insecure. So, they hang out with their buddies who give them the validation they so desperately desire.
My man
Governor Walz has a HEALTHY sense of his MASCULINITY. And this includes what has been labeled as FEMININE......he's a nuturing parent and teacher!
Tim Walz is an honorable man. He has a heart that cares about People.
And that's why they hate him. I think most of us would rather adopt him into our own families.
Exactly vote HARRIS/WALZ 2024
Isn't non-toxic masculinity a wonderful thing?
...and if Tim Walz paid by check, the check wouldn't bounce.
And it's not just non-toxic masculinity. It's classic masculinity in a non-toxic way! The guy is a vet, ex football coach, outdoorsman, and fixes his own car. He is a walking, talking stereotype of American masculinity. At the same time as being a feminist, an LGBTQ ally, unionist and anti-racist. He is the truly healthy role model that a lot of men (young and old) need. Tate can only dream of being as masculine as Tim Walz.
@@CorwinFoundso true
@@CorwinFoundHe's secure enough in his own masculinity to not have to destroy any threat to it, perceived or otherwise.
It's just masculinity.

The more I see of Walz, the more I like him.
The exact opposite experience you normally have when you learn about a politician lol
I see him and I start smiling.😊
The more I see Tim Walz the more I like MYSELF. That is one true leadership quality.
He should be the president instead of kamala lol
But VP Walz is already great. Especially when we were crazy close to getting josh shapiro instead
@@no_name4796he could be president sometime in the future. I think he would do great.
They're having a bit of a freak-out because he proves you can have literally all their "manly qualities", ie:
-Hunter
-Meat Eater
-Veteran
-Married
-Has two kids
-Football coach
-Likes sports
And still supports democratic politics. Something they say is impossible
The brain does all sorts of weird and desperate things when it sees something it can't accept.
I miss the good old days when politicians showed far more respect for one another. Seniors for the BLUE team🎉🎉
AND not just for other politicians, but for other people in general!
If Tim Walz became Principal of a school in your area, you'd move a mountain to have your kids transferred there.
I am a Republican who hates Trump and loves Tim Walz. What a contrast. Lying cheating scoundrel vs. Honest, reliable, family man. I am a Republican who is voting Democrat again. Trump has to go.
You're a rare breed nowadays but a highly needed one
I believe Democrats should vote for great Republican presidents and vice versa. This polarization and tribalism in politics is only magnified when people limit their choices by making it an identity thing. Vote for the candidates who seem the best in your opinion, not the opinions of those who surround you and regurgitate old platitudes
@@maxcorey8144 I was a Republican too. I even voted for Trump in 2016. But he immediately showed he was not up to the task, and the promise of "adults in the room" quickly vanished into the lingering fart of his petulance. Daily fights with the press, outlandish statements, and then the cruelty towards the most vulnerable started. When I saw the bulk of the party handwave his hateful statements, I realized I had no home there anymore. I'm a Dem now, and not likely I'll go back. The stain of Trump will take decades to wash away.
@@OccuredJakub12As a Canadian, I approve this message. Here, the Prime Minister is automatically the leader of the party winning the most seats in the election. We do not vote directly for our Prime Minister. Or Sheriffs, etc.
Same boat bud.
I fall pretty conservative on most things, but my number 1 rule has always been "be respectful".
The gop isn't, and hasn't for a long time.
Thank you!!!
On the surface, Tim Walz is the kind of guy the GOP thinks should be on their side. He's white, middle-aged, cis, and heterosexual. He's married with two kids. He grew up in a small town and is a Midwesterner. He was a football coach, a member of the military, and he hunts. Yet, Tim Walz is a Democrat. He is kind, compassionate, and giving. And like you said, he is happy. Tim Walz is joyous, and this pisses the current state of the GOP who only have their bigotry, anger, and grievances.
Tim Walz being the ideal picture of their desired nuclear family and the kind of man they want men to be (into sports, joined the military, hunts) sort of ruins their narrative that we marginalized folks are looking to completely destroy that way of life. Their mental gymnastics are getting worse (not shocking, given how old they are) and their death throes are becoming even more obvious.
This year has sparked a deep nihilism in me, since it seemed incompetence was going to let hate win again, but seeing how well Harris and Walz are doing is helping me feel a bit of hope again.

He apparently also fights for gun rights (with appropriate gun laws though)
The one that made me laugh was "Tampon Tim" because he wanted to guarantee feminine hygiene products in public school restrooms. But they had to lie and make it seem that he was "forcing" tampons to be given to boys, of course.
That’s psychotic😮
Meanwhile... they decorated their ears with feminine hygiene products. 🤦♂️
Well, you know the Republican motto, 'Never let the truth get in the way of a good lie'.

Meanwhile Trump has taped a maxi pad to his ear so he can pretend to have a bullet wound.
I knew nothing about him before Kamala chose him, but now I think he is amazing.
And in all honesty, that was my experience with Kamala. She was not in the news all the time bragging about who she was or what she had done. She was the 'second banana' so to speak; VP's rarely get credit or focus for anything. Now that l see her and hear her, l believe her. Just in a couple of mos. she has grown into who she Is and was before VP.
MAYBE she doesn't have all the answers, but she has enthusiasm and a 'can do' attitude. She is intelligent and capable..plus she has advisors and is not so egotistical that she won't use them!
THAT'S WHAT I LIKE ABOUT HER!

Shows how their faults are invisible to them and those of others are automatically put under that magifying glass.
Tim Waltz is the best human being with combination of all the divine virtues like love, kindness, compassion, honesty, truthfulness, humbleness, gratitude, joyfulness and many more. Tell the republicans who badmouth Tim to go and suck rotten eggs for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I think it's simpler than that. As Steve says, Walz is everything a traditional conservative likes, and he is also a progressive. He makes them feel threatened because he is walking, talking proof that a "Proper Man" can also be a progressive. That you can be inclusive and still be a masculine guy, that you can work for a woman and not be emasculated by that. That you can be passionate but also respectful and professional.
Walz is a subtle example of how the Right is completely full of sh*t and just stirring up division for their own selfish goals, he could undermine the very core of the Republican campaign just by showing up, he's an existential threat to them, simply by existing.
Exactly. You've hit the nail on the head.

Oh Frisco. That's right!
Guaranteed a charge they will make against him before or during the Vance debate is "Look at this clown! How's he supposed to make Xi Jinping cower in a corner?!"
The fact he's not threatening is what makes him threatening. The Democrats might win again and that scares the GOP.
Also, he stands for what they SHOULD embrace and believe in. They hate him because they can’t have him. The Republican Party sold themselves to the Maga cult and it will take years to pick up the pieces. RIP GOP. 😢😮😂😅

Well that right just says the truth that everything Republicans claim to be integral to the core of their identity is in fact superficial things that are more akin to clothes than organs.
"Fat dad"? Have they seen the guy they're voting for?

The only reason Tim Walz wouldn't be out quickly after paying for his groceries with a check would be because he knows every cashier (and their parents) by name and he would take his time to ask them how the family was doing and what was going on in their lives.
Exactly, but he'd still be aware of the line behind him and move it along...
The vibe I'm getting as a non-american is that not only would he have his cheque ready and finished by the time the cashier has tagged all his groceries _and_ he knows all of them and their family by name, but after asking how they and the family is doing he'd _still_ be done in less time than most of us takes.

Yeah. My first impulse was to want her to shush it down as Harris and Walz do. And they are right to do so. But Clinton has earned the right to not shush and smirk a bit over it. Was never a huge fan of her as a politician, but that was a good moment for her and I appreciated it.
And isn't it strange that after Trump claimed she was some massive criminal in 2016, he has felony convictions and she has zero. I'm really happy she got that moment after the crap she endured in 2016
Agreed. In my opinion, the worst political decision she ever made was walking back the "basket of deplorables" comment. I sincerely believe that had she doubled down on it and explained why it was an appropriate statement, the 2016 elections would have gone differently.
NGL, I don't give a damn about her nor do I care if she feels vindicated.
We've moved on.
That is was _Hillary_ in particular made it a iconic moment, and a ironic moment of history.
.. that will be played back in history classes and documentaries.
And let's be honest, she earned that moment.
Also as she's not running it really doesn't apply to the Harris campaign.
"You don't like what she did? Well then don't vote for Hillary...."
I however hope someone 'tweets' video of that to Trump's Truth Social account, so he sees it directly without handlers present.
Tim Walz isn't threatening, he's inspiring.
And that's why he's a threat to the MAGA Republican.
Inspiring people are always a threat to people who are too cowardly to be inspired.
He's threatening to the MAGA Republicans because he's everything they're not.
I'm looking forward to the day that Kamala replaces Clarence Thomas with Barack Obama.
Obligatory reminder that Clarence Thomas is good friends with a Nazi sympathizer and his wife is a Qanoner/Jan 6 insurrectionist
Constitutionally, is that allowed?
Or Michelle Obama
100%
Oh me too!
I need a Tim Walz around my neighborhood! HE is the kind of guy you want to be friends with!
And who KNOWS human qualities.
Evil hates all things joyful, good and honorable
Tim shows by example that a strong man does not have to be a bully.
They hate him because they want to bully.
Tim Walz is the man of the future. He is a prototype Starfleet officer.
The rare good Starfleet Admiral.
Tim Walz is THAT guy.
He's the NCO that runs logistics and somehow is able to get you what you need when you need it and everyone loves him for it.
OMG! He's a slightly more portly Captain Pike! The lead through empathy and stick by your people no matter what attitude. Extreme listening skills, jovial and familiar. Wow.
"He's more than a hero; he's a union man!"
I questioned the VP pick for all of 5min and a google search. Let’s go Coach.
Yeah, I was sort of hoping for Pete Buttegieg (and the choice would not have been wrong). But Walz has an optimism that isn't as cut and dried as Mayor Pete's. Walz is a guy who could tell you you're wrong in a way you wouldn't feel bad about. And, right now, America has a lot of wrong thinking.
An excellent video covering why Walz has been so effective for the ticket. I’m proud he represents my state of Minnesota!
100% PERFECTLY said! I am 100% in agreement!
The "ignorant questioner" thing is a little loopy. Back in middle school I had a teacher who took a moment to explain to us all (in sex ed class, naturally) the difference between ignorance and naivety. Essentially the distinction between refusing to learn vs never having had the opportunity to learn. And that if someone comes to you with naivety you should explain with patience, but if they come at you from ignorance you should take them to task.
Even if Walz went to a Springsteen concert and asked "Do you think they'll play Jack and Diane?" that's just naive and you can simply and patiently correct them.
But when Matt Walsh asks "What is a woman?" THAT'S an ignorant questioner.
I'd say Matt Walsh is a cynical questioner. He doesn't ask that because he's interested in anyone else's answer, he asks hoping they won't be able to answer (and then deceptively edits the video to make it look like they didn't answer).
Agree. Very very loopy because most of what they say are not based on any logic or intellect.
I think it's something along those lines they meant, it's fairly common in ads and media aimed at kids to have parents who ask seemingly stupid questions but I don't understand how that turned into a culture war thing. Like that's just a trope that exists in anything aimed at kids because when you're young it feels like your parents are horribly behind the times and obviously media aimed at kids will reflect that. If media pointing out that adults don't keep up with trends offends you then you have to be incredibly insecure, most people over 30 have no trouble admitting it and a lot of people do it on purpose because it actually becomes funny when you're an adult.
You and I are on the same wavelength. Thought the EXACT same thing. Seems like the reason they hate him is because he's _kind._ He's charming, and treats people with respect and dignity- and he doesn't have a need to command it for himself, because it is freely given to him. He's sweet, and a jokester. That kind of person scares them because they are so used to wallowing in anger and hatred that being kind and being _happy_ strikes them as uncanny. And if it's strange, it had to be destroyed
I actually think it is the joy itself. Trump's masculinity is all about misery. About how miserable it is to be a man and how miserable society is to them. It's why Harris' joy is so triggering to them cause it threatens their world view. For many right wing propagandists it also threatens their bottom line. They rely on misery and cynicism to make money.
Trump is a very miserable individual. I don't really think I've ever seen him happy. Even when he was president he was all paranoid, stressed and miserable.
And they know that they can't change him or corrupt him!
They’re just hella mad we Minnesotans elected a normal guy and they can’t figure out how to twist it around on him.
Not the first time California and Minnesota have pissed off the right wing loons.
Thank you thank you for that wonderful assessment of the obsession the right has with tearing this guy down. I am completely enamored with Tim Walz and his beautiful family. WOW ‼️. What would our country look like with more Dads like him. You rock for your presentation ‼️. Keep it coming please 😊♥️
It's really disheartening that the Walz hate now hits Gus.
I can’t believe some deem trump as the chosen one. Ridiculous.

Agreed!
What qualities do the critics base that title on?
He's more of a man than they've ever met.
More of a man than all the indoctrinated man children they see as the future of America's Project 2025 breeding program.
And that means ALL of them put together! Tim exudes natural masculinity, makes women feel safe and secure no matter how independent we are as women. Those MAGA men look to women to feel safe and secure. That is why they want women out of the workplace, why they need to know we are always at home, why they have this obsession to be in control of our bodies, why they dictate the kind of love we should give them because what they don’t understand is that the boundless love we see Tim & Doug’s wives give to THEM comes from the love, joy, independence & trust their husbands give to them. MAGA men have so much to relearn. I wish them well.
@bendavis3545 - or will ever be......
Its so wonderful to see a REAL MAN in office 2nd in command Vice Pres. He is a shinning example of what a father, husband, neighbor, teacher, govener and future VP of this nation. Love the team of Kamala Tim!!!!❤❤❤ VOTE BLUE ALL THE WAY!!!🎉💖
What a great dissection of the way the GOP perceives "manhood" vs. the Democrats' viewpoint. Thank you for this.
He is a breadth of fresh air!!!!!!!!
You said everything I have been saying to my friends and family since the convention! Thank you! It’s really important for men to speak out about these issues and healthy masculinity. I appreciate this video so much and agree with all of your points. Tim Walz is the type of healthy masculinity role model that Americans need! He will be a Vice President who supports everyone - whether you look like him or not, whether you pray or love like him or not. I seriously can’t believe people think tampon Tim is an insult - he wanted students to have health and safety products in schools so they can focus on learning and not have to miss school when they have their period if they can’t afford supplies. Shame on everyone who thinks that children shouldn’t have access to free hygiene products and food so they can focus on learning at school!!!! That’s seriously the weakest insult ever, and shows where their hearts really are. Also shame on anyone making fun of him for being an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community and being the faculty advisor to a program that supports love and acceptance for all students so everyone can learn safely. Why do republicans want bullying and violence and school shootings to continue?!
On the "fat dad" thing, dad bods are literally in right now 😂
Also, there's something comforting about a guy who is a genuinely nice person who exudes "dad energy". Not everyone had a good dad growing up 🤷♀️
Orange Cheeto is definitely not a good dad.
Tim Walz is the perfect pick for VP! He is kind, has a sense of humor, is a wonderful father, husband and has all the smarts to be VP! I wish he was my neighbor!!
same here.
Tim Walz seems like an honest, likeable, relatable, sane, and completely normal person -- the kind of guy who doesn't think you need ID to buy bread or that Tic Tacs come in multiple size containers because of inflation... the kind of person who won't whine about flushing a toilet 15 times or go off on some weird windmill-themed rant when asked about foreign policy... and definitely not the kind of leader who will spend 428 days of his 1400 days in office plopped down on a golf course on the taxpayer's dime. 👍
The kind of guy who wouldn't dare own a gold toilet in the first place.
I never understood how feeding children at schools has become so divisive.
DFL politicians from Minnesota-Hubert Humphrey the Happy Warrior, Walter Mondale, a good man down to his bones, Paul Wellstone, we lost him too soon. A man who put the good of others at the heart of his public life and now Tim Walz. All politicians of character, integrity and an effortless generosity and a belief in working towards a “more perfect Union.” What a contrast to the Trumpian villains of today’s Republican Party, politicians whose only mantra is looking out for number one and “I’ve got mine, the Hell with the rest of you! Would you want any of these sociopaths vase a neighbor, first responder or clergyman?
The hâte him because he's honest, competant, relatable and likeable.
Yep agreed. He's everything they want to be but will never be.
They attack him because they are terrified of him. They are very small, cowardly men.
Tim Waltz is the kind of guy Republicans think they are, Donald Trump and JD Vance is who they really are.
They're mad because his adult daughter talks to him
@@SomeCrow-rq5dzamazing what being a good parent gets you
He called them out on their weird shit and comes across as reasonable, kind and just generally a good person. And they don't know how to deal with that.
