For transport, a good plan is to take the card for 3 days. It costs 15.80 Leva (15 for the duration + 0.80 for the card) and you can use all the city's transport without restriction during this period 😉
Sounds like a good plan 👍🏼 I mostly did the 4 Leva daily ticket for the metro during my trip 🚇 The public transport in Sofia is excellent value compared to most cities! 😃
Great video thanks for posting
Thank you! 😎✈️
Super helpful, I was born there and planning a visit after 20+ years so this video was very reassuring; thanks!
Really happy it was helpful 😃 it’s pretty smooth & easy to get from the airport to anywhere in the city that’s close to a metro station. Have a great time in Sofia! 🇧🇬😎
What happened, man ? Did you wait for the statue of limitations to run out ?
Such a cheap & easy way to get from the city to the airport 🚇🤩
Bloody useful. I live in Bulgaria but have never used Sofia metro, so good to kbow what to expect! Appreciate it!
Cheers 😎 really glad it was useful to you! 😃
@@n1ckburt0n Flying out in a few days and staying in hotel night before, (normally just coach up same day), so great to see where to pay, etc. 👍
if you need to go to Terminal 1, you don't need to catch the subway, only to connect via the shuttle. It is better to catch a bus: E84 or E184, both going from Sofia University which is in downtown to both terminals of the airport.
Thanks for adding that information 😎
Thank you ❤❤
Thank you for this! Will be there in a few weeks from California and wondering how to get around via metro,,,
You’re welcome 😎 glad it was useful! You can buy day tickets for 4 Leva from the kiosks at each metro station too, great value for getting around Sofia 🇧🇬 have an awesome trip ✈️
@@n1ckburt0n Thank you! Wondering how cold Sofia will be in later March, but it looks like it may be transitioning into spring...we shall see
There’s plenty to do whatever the weather ✌🏼😎 but it should be warming up towards the end of March 😀
just use your visa, amex or mastercard, 1st if you travel more than 3 times a day in tube, bus, tram, regional train you will be charged just 4 levs, but dont forget to tap every entry or exit { at some station}
Good advice 🤓✌🏼
Metro is best option
Yep 😎✌🏼
Are there elevators to enter or exit the train.?
The airport metro station is all on ground level 🙂 other stations have elevators
Can you pay by contactless debit or credit card at the barriers ?if yiu tap in do you have to tap out when you leave a station ?
According to comments I had on other Sofia Metro videos, you can tap in using contactless and that would apparently show up if any inspectors checked whether you had purchased a journey. You can only use one card per person though. Exit barriers just open at each station so there wouldn’t be a tap out.🚊
@@n1ckburt0n thanks for that information much appreciated
But how can we know which terminal is ours??
It should tell you on your ticket 🎟️ but generally, EasyJet & Wizz Air use Terminal 1 (the older one) and most other airlines use Terminal 2 (the newer one) 🙂✈️
