DRC has been under an arms embargo… could not buy ammunition for many years. Until only recently when the embargo was lifted. They are now rapidly militarizing with a huge budget. Spending more $ than any East African country on the military. It could easily become the strongest military force in East Africa. It has to protect its wealth.
