I like how you review thing very detailed and straight to the point keep it up
I've had these for 9 months. They're the best bang for your buck.
Did they crap out or did you just stop using them?
@@straumboney1903 they work perfectly. I'm pretty gentle with my tech. Use them weekly
@@cjwestside can these headphone run on smartphone? Also are the earpads changeble? I live in a hot country so leather earpad tend to break easily here.
@@nazmi5561 they can run on a smartphone but your phone needs a jack as these are wired headphones. Can't replace earpads unfortunately
They are on aliexpress
Buy ghe ones with the highest rating
There one with 158 orders and a rating of 4.9
From what I can tell it's the new model they also ship the fancy suitcase for extra 10-15$. Black or silver.
Gonna get these, thanks
The Tascam TH-02 I have are painful for my ears after an hour and not comfy.
Very nice review. Nice monitor you have there in the background.
I’m looking into buying these..Thank you for the detailed review 👍😉
How is it?
I never bought them
I bought Status Audio CB1
@@valdelduca8325 oh I see, would you recommend that?
The Takstars are 58usd in my country while the samson sr850 is 25usd. Do you think the price difference is justifiable? Should I get the takstars or stick with the samsons at a much lower price?
I would be getting the Samson, they're much more alike than they are different to be true. That is if you don't mind open design of Samsons that leak sound in and out.
@@iiWiReviews Thank you! I'm not sure if you already know but the Samsons also have a closed back variant. It's known as the Samson SR950. Let me know if you've tried them. :)
Currently it only cost $50 right now with free shipping in my country yet I am freaking torn between this and the Philips SHP9500 from amazon for $82 shipping included
Sweet torments of our hobby. :) I know the feeling.
shp has better mids and soundstage
have you ever tried changing the ear pads? mine's starting to deteriorate and i'm looking to use HM5 angled pads on it, do you think it'll fit? thank you.
No I haven't. Mine are still as new so I haven't thought about it yet.
thx. great work. keep on!
Hi, please answer me i have the same FX Audio DAC as yours, if your using the TakstarPRO 82 direct to the DAC will it add more / better sound quality? Please answer me sir. Thank you.
Woah I was looking for reviews and I found this one. I have the same Dac as you on my desk XD
ano akala mo sakin ha?
Great review! Which one and why would you pick for gaming (competitive shooters) these or hyperx alpha, putting aside the mic?
SQ and separation is great on both so that's not an issue. I think these are more comfortable especially for long gaming sessions. HyperX are built from sturdier materials so if you're the type of person to rough-handle them that can be useful. Otherwise I would probably go with Pro 82s.
iiWi Reviews thanks for your answer 👍
This Takstar Pro 82... for better sound, which is the Dolphin DS80, this Takstar Pro 82 is also comfortable on the head and ears...? I use the Dolphin DS80, it's not comfortable and I get dizzy
Nice review. I also have this headphone. So, out of so many dac& amp that you reviewed, what do you think is the most suitable to pro82? Do you think fx audio tube 06 & O2 amp is good match for pro82..? Pls reply, thanks.
Thanks! I haven't heard O2 amp so far, hope I can test it sometimes in the future. But for now I can't comment on it. From the things I heard so far - Dragonfly Black was the best match for Pro 82. It has an headphone amp that is more than powerful enough (I keep it under 10% for both Pro 82 and AKG K92) and it can deliver very dynamic and muscly sound which goes really well with neutral and flat Pro 82, making them come alive and more exciting than usual.
How do you change the earcup?
great review . just a quick question . if you had to chose between these headphones and a Sennheiser HD 201. what would you pick ?
Thanks! I'd definitely choose Pro 82 as they can reveal much more details, better sound-stage and instrument separation.
I still use these Pro 82 from this review (like them more than my AKG K92).
is it better than most "gaming" headsets??
odd, a lot a people seem to claim the Cooler Master MH751/2 Is an improvement on the Takstar Pro 82's in regards to better soundstage and more neutral
The difference came to be that the Cooler Master pair is supposed to be a version 2 of the Takstar Pro 82's.
The v2 actually has a lower impedance at I think it was 26 ohms where the v1 is 32 ohms.
So they used the v2 and made some changes to the sound signature.
What about the takstar gm200?
i have takstar pro 82 and brainwavz hm5 open version (clone), they are good in them way. takstar for gaming and the clone for music listening. very useful i dont think to replace them(for a moment, dunno if i have more money xD).
I have the same cans with you
i use the hm5 open aka os-01 for watching movie
Is this Good for Mixing/ Mastering Vocals ?
can you use this thru a bluetooth reciever?
Good day Sir. Do you use your FX Audio - X6 for your PC?
Hi, I did at some point but not any more... It's EarMen TR-amp currently.
my gf's CAL! just broke. Is this a good just as comfortable replacement ? Is this 32 or 28ohm version?
I haven't tried CAL so can't comment on them but these are super comfy. I don't think she would have any problem with those. I lost manual somewhere so not sure about Ohms, but they are newer version with shorter 1.6m cable... if that helps.
Are they still your #1 recommendation for
Yes, at least I haven't heard anything better.

Pomoć: kako zamijenit jastučiće (earpads) na ovim slušalicama? hvala
I bought this on Aliexpress. Dropped it several times, it never break.
I tried to close my drawer with these still protruding several times already... After squeezing them hard that way I'm always afraid I broke something... But no, they're still whole and functional.
@@iiWiReviews Same here. This is legendary
@Annuendo Septima I still use them and they're still as good as new. But I don't use them often... Usually when I game or binge Netflix late at night and don't want to wake up my girlfriend.
I haven't heard HD668B but these are clearly better than HD681.
Better takstar than porta pro or m50x?
Which has better clear and flat sound this or the cooler master mh752? Thanks
This one is slightly better.
is there sibilance in this headphone?i just got the shp9500 and the treble/sibilance is killing my ears..
Yeah, these are on the bright side too. If you're bothered by sibilance it's maybe better to look elsewhere.
Are they better than Samson SR850?
I have SR850 for 3 years already and I like it's neutral sound. But the quality wasn't very durable, three of the plastic thingies that hold the upper band broke during last 6 months and also the cable collected bodily fats soon and stiffened and I had to cut and resolder it.
It's a pity that Takstar is closed back - I like to hear people around me, in case if someone wants to talk to me. Also, the leatherette might get sweaty when used all day long. I'm working from home 8 hours a day and need headphones for communicating with colleagues and listening to some music as background while I'm working.
They actually have very similar sound signature but if you're a critical listener and your source (DAC/AMP) is good enough, then Pro 82 is even more precise sounding and revealing than SR850. Also, I feel they are made better with more aluminum parts. Only one weak link is that hinges are plastic. I didn't have any problems with it so far but another user complained he broke one.
@Annuendo Septima For PC - Lusya Fever DAC.... but for Phone Hidizs Sonata HD or Tempotec Sonata HD.
@Annuendo Septima Not on my unit. Must be a slightly looser jack on some models.
How does this compare with Philips SHP9500
Will this get pretty loud enough by just using a smartphone?
Basically it depends on the phone. If you don't listen too loud, iPhones and Xiaomi phones for example can drive them OK. Sony Xperia phones are very quiet and you might lack volume with them.
Sonata HD dongle DAC can solve any problem with low phone volume.
Why didn't I saw this before I bought the SHP9500. Damn.
Thanks for the review. Did you buy your Pro 82's from AliExpress?
Hi. Yes I did buy from AE...
@@iiWiReviews they come in black box or white one?
I bought so called bulk version in a plane small carton box. The shipping and import taxes were quite cheaper that way.
@@iiWiReviews Thanks. I can't wait to get rid of these Sennheiser hd 206's i'm currently using. Just Hope that the pro 82's with be a substantial upgrade to these!
By the way what version do you have?
It seems to be ver2, judging by the cable length.
so whan i found this headphones for 45 bucks new on sale they r worth it?
How is the sound when connected to FX-Audio Dac X6?
It sounds very good with it, clear and detailed.
Cool I just order the DAC
Please review the Austrian Audio Hi-X55. Thx.
Samson sr850 vs Takstar for sound??
Very close. Takstar Pro 82s are a bit more detailed and have better bass control. Samson SR850s have punchier bass.
Other than the sound quality, Takstars are more comfortable and isolate better from the environment if you care for that.
@@iiWiReviews thanks for reply 👍
@@iiWiReviews what about soundstage? SR850 have semi open. That have better soundstage than Takstar?
@@rijaluahimsa2408 If anything, I feel Pro 82 have more spacious sound-stage.
@@rijaluahimsa2408 I recently listened to a sound demo online between the Takstar Pro 82 vs the superlux 681 and to me the Superluxes sounded a fair bit better.
Can you share your eq
TAKSTAR PRO 82 OR ADUIO-TECHNICA ath-m30x ????
I had the m30x they were super uncomfortable
Never heard ATH-M30X unfortunately so can't really help you here.
so cooler master is like the pro82 v2 on the second bass switch?
Well that's closer but not exactly the same, it's still slightly different. MH751 just never got to achieve the same exact clarity as Pro 82 in my setup. BTW, I've been told my Pro 82s are V2 and I don't really know how other versions sound (supposedly there are still older versions selling around), maybe CMs are based on some other/earlier version of 82s and that's where the difference is coming from.
@@iiWiReviews No, the older version is even harsher on the treble, take a look at this article. It compares the old version to the new one with some graphs. diyaudioheaven.wordpress.com/headphones/measurements/takstar-pro-82/
@@ahmedwael3019 How do tell if the seller will ship me the version 2?
@@agoogleuser9025 the new version ships with a 1.6m cable while the older ships with a 2.2m cable
Sch_eisse Zwei unfortunately it can still be lottery. All sellers I see for Takstar Pro 82 say they ship with 2.2m cable
Are there better headphones in this price now?
I don't think so. At least choosing from any that I tried.

After seeing your review I baught samson sr850, I wanted to by better headphones under 100 dollars. Those are really worthy to invest??
Far better than the samson sr850??
Not really. Samsons are best bang for buck without any doubt. Samsons are also easier to drive and sound nice with everything, while Pro 82 wants better DAC/AMP.
@@iiWiReviews pro 82 overall sounds better?? Or almost same quality??
Almost same quality. Pro 82 are even more detailed but other than that it's really not big difference.
Oh, I forgot, Pro 82 are more comfortable and isolate surrounding better.
@@iiWiReviews Maybe Superlux HD669 can compete with them? (they are closed back)
Which one have best sound stages and imaging takstar pro 82 or MH 751
They are equally good for that. Pro 82 bass is a bit cleaner and that's why I liked them more...
@@iiWiReviews thank you
@@iiWiReviews sir takstar pro 82 have more sub bass or MH 75 1
Nice review, I have the silver version. I think the outer cups have a metal skin as they are cold to the touch?
I like them, great value and comfort, but never my first choice for music listening, more of a general purpose closed-back when I need some isolation. Not usually a fan of EQ, but I might have a go at taming that 10k peak after watching this review.
Thanks! Well, you just might be right about cups. they are kind of colder than outer plastic frame that holds them... I don't really want to scratch and check... Just knocking at them it really felt and sounded like plastic to me.
Regarding EQ, it proably depends a lot on your DAC/AMP and personal preferences. But if you are willing to give it a shot try - 3 dB around 10 kHz (depending on available EQ bands) and see how you like it. I did that by doing - 3 at 8 kHz and -3 at 12 kHz and personally I prefer it that way.
iiWi Reviews I ended up taming the treble by inserting a (thinish) layer of felt in each earcup. Less fatiguing now ✅
Acabo de comprar los m40x, si no me son cómodos me iré por estos :(
This or Philips SHP9500 for gaming?
Haven't heard SHP9500, sorry. Maybe someone else can comment. But I'm using these for gaming - super comfortable and great sound.
@@iiWiReviews Thanks for the feedback, I'm really still torn between the two options, btw the Philips SHP9500s are quite the popular pair which was originally priced at $60 but due to demand and popularity, it fluctuated now to $70 to $90. They're sort of the bigger brother of the Samson SR850 for the price I would say? since they are fully opened instead of semi-open. Wonder if you could take a look at those if they spark your interest. Cheers!
both are great for footsteps. pro82 more focused, shp more natural. i chose to keep the shp and sell pro82
@@nonenothing4412 Thanks for sharing! Did you just prefer the shps overall? How is the comfort and build quality compared to pro 82?
@@agoogleuser9025 both are super comfy, pro82 sometimes hurt when you take them off because they are so plush that it gets uncomfortable without them)) shp uses fabric and breathes better, in summer i can use them for longer time. build quality is better on shp, at least in my opinion, but pro82 isn't bad either. i prefer shp because i like it's epic midrange, very detailed and wide - makes heavy metal am enjoyable listen (sometimes needs eq to dial down the sibilance region). what i want you to consider is getting a ksc75, it may look goofy but it's a headphone in the same level as other two.
how they differ exactly from the cooler master mh751?
Sound signature is basically the same but Pro 82s have cleaner and more presice bass, and a bit cleaner sound overall.
@@iiWiReviews so cooler master is like the pro82 v2 on the second bass switch?
