    • @iiWiReviews
      @iiWiReviews  Před 5 lety +2

      SQ and separation is great on both so that's not an issue. I think these are more comfortable especially for long gaming sessions. HyperX are built from sturdier materials so if you're the type of person to rough-handle them that can be useful. Otherwise I would probably go with Pro 82s.

      Thanks! I haven't heard O2 amp so far, hope I can test it sometimes in the future. But for now I can't comment on it. From the things I heard so far - Dragonfly Black was the best match for Pro 82. It has an headphone amp that is more than powerful enough (I keep it under 10% for both Pro 82 and AKG K92) and it can deliver very dynamic and muscly sound which goes really well with neutral and flat Pro 82, making them come alive and more exciting than usual.

    odd, a lot a people seem to claim the Cooler Master MH751/2 Is an improvement on the Takstar Pro 82's in regards to better soundstage and more neutral
    The difference came to be that the Cooler Master pair is supposed to be a version 2 of the Takstar Pro 82's.
    The v2 actually has a lower impedance at I think it was 26 ohms where the v1 is 32 ohms.
    So they used the v2 and made some changes to the sound signature.

    Are they better than Samson SR850?
    I have SR850 for 3 years already and I like it's neutral sound. But the quality wasn't very durable, three of the plastic thingies that hold the upper band broke during last 6 months and also the cable collected bodily fats soon and stiffened and I had to cut and resolder it.
    It's a pity that Takstar is closed back - I like to hear people around me, in case if someone wants to talk to me. Also, the leatherette might get sweaty when used all day long. I'm working from home 8 hours a day and need headphones for communicating with colleagues and listening to some music as background while I'm working.

    • @iiWiReviews
      @iiWiReviews  Před 4 lety

      They actually have very similar sound signature but if you're a critical listener and your source (DAC/AMP) is good enough, then Pro 82 is even more precise sounding and revealing than SR850. Also, I feel they are made better with more aluminum parts. Only one weak link is that hinges are plastic. I didn't have any problems with it so far but another user complained he broke one.

      Regarding EQ, it proably depends a lot on your DAC/AMP and personal preferences. But if you are willing to give it a shot try - 3 dB around 10 kHz (depending on available EQ bands) and see how you like it. I did that by doing - 3 at 8 kHz and -3 at 12 kHz and personally I prefer it that way.
