Insights from the band and clips from the studio as Revocation crafts "Great Is Our Sin". Studio video shot by the band, interviews shot by Jeremy Saffer, edited by Vince Edwards.
I feel like a lot of Revo fans don't give this album the support this deserves. Its so underrated!
this album plays every day on my car since 2017!!!! Its crazy because, after listening so much, I continue to percept the details inside ... I think this record is the one that impressed me equal than And Justice For All.... thanks bros! Im a huge fan of urs
Hell ya. I love when bands make videos while they are in the studio
Dave is wearing that same Gorguts shirt in every video I watch with him haha
should've named the album "Aesthetic"
Ashstetic
YES
I need more of this! I fucking love watching these types of "Behind the Making of.." videos.
"Aesthetic" I can't count how many times I heard that term throughout the video lol.
The hype is real as fuck!!!
All aboard the hype train!
Choo choo!
I consider myself very lucky to witness these guys live at Saint Vitus on last 29th January 2017.. These guys are fucking monsters...😎😎😎
I really love these guys as they viciously do thrash stuffs along with blast beats (drumming wise ) blending the progressive time signature elements onto it...Hails #Revocation for life ...🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
You guys killed it - KILLED IT - on this record. Goddamn I love it, been jamming it in my car since I bought it.
This album kicks ass, so much talent in everything......love your work from your start, very unique sound!!love from Greece!!
Cleaving Giants of Ice has the weirdest sound but it's amazing
Less talk and more Studio footage goddamit!
3:40 Copernican Heresy (2:25 into the song)
This album is freaking amazing!
10:47 Dave trying to fly
Is it just my 5.1 setup or are the interviews super quiet compared to the rest of the video?
Quiet!
yeah the talking sections was super low so I turned up the volume to be able to hear them speak. then the music came and now im deaf.
The camera person framed the interviews in an either happy accident or clever on purpose way, the band members seem to reflect their stage positions depending on where they are in the shot
The camera angle of that interview....man I swear every time David appears I look at his face and think about squirrel.
love these guys
So far I'm really digging all the 5/4 time signature stuff I'm hearing in the new songs!
Great is our Sin is just awesome!!! Brilliant music!!!
Can't wait!
So excited!!
Day 1 of tracking on my 31st birthday nice.
10:46 dave has some seriously underrated vocals
Whoever finalized the audio in this video; the music is way louder than the interviews.. like bruh
I hope they do one of these for their new upcoming album
That stuck pixel tough.
Do you know how awesome it is to hear real drums instead of sample replaced ones??
very cool, great insight on everything
Monolithic Ignorance, a Danny Gargiulo special!
Ash talks like he is high as fuck, or just vague and tired.. then again everyone looks pretty worn out ..
Hyped as hell though, all the songs and teasers sound amazing, Revocation and the people in it are ridiculously talented and inspirational!
he looks wasted
Hey guys, I'm a new revocation fan and I was just wondering why Phil left the band.
He's working on other musical projects, but hasn't released anything yet sadly. I'm guessing from what I've seen off instagram it won't be extreme metal like revocation.
dave's eyes move around more than anyone elses. i wonder if that would make me awesome too
G-wiz, those guitar lines are HOT!
Will there be tab books or GP files available to download?
Very popular are the video! Sami artist and such a shoot ! Welcome to contact us !
Honestly, I haven't been in love with any of the new stuff. Maybe it's just the pick of singles though. I just want songs more thrash like Invidious or the Grip TIghtens. The more proggy stuff like Labyrinth of Eyes is good too. IDK, it seems liek they took all of the songs from Deathless that were just ok IMO, like The Darkest Reaches and The Fix.
Might also be because of the shift in musical taste over the last year or so.
IDK, not giving up on the album yet.
I see what youre saying. Theyre definitely moving towards a prog death sound with these recent releases. However, I think Communion is a killer deathrash tune that I feel is a lot like The Hive and Scorched Earth Policy. People are going to complain if it's too similar to their old stuff and people are going to complain if it's too different from their old stuff, and I think right now what they have released holds both new and old elements so I don't understand much of the complaints.
Now that it’s been out for a minute, has your opinion changed? I shared a lot of your sentiments when GIOS came out, but man it really grew on me. Just wondering if it grew on you like It did for me.
Fuck these guys are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!
I'm looking for information on the band's musical background. If anyone can help, please feel free to send me links or what to search.

GorGuts shirt.. my friends band...
I like the skill of this new drummer
I think he's more "agressive" than Phil, with more blast beats
egg covers r really works in studio ??
I wonder, what is smoking at 8:22, in the lower right corner?
Camera guy's cig.
looks like incense to me.
Didn't Ash Pearson do an album with 3 Inches of Blood? OH YES! Duh.. he's the guy from Vancouver, lol. Nice to see.
3:36 anyone know which song this section is from??
It's 2:25 into Copernican Heresy (in case you didn't find out) :)
Great Is Our Gay
What's smoking at 08:25 🙈?!
I didn’t know this was a thing!!!! Wtf
Are these cardboard boxes for eggs that are all over the walls?
Was wondering the exact same thing lmfao
They work as sound proofing. Lots of people use them if you don't get foam.
DevonEwyMusic Yeah I recognised the purpose, but thought they have professional... whatever those are called, makes me sad that people that talented have to use basic stuff to make a proper room for recording,
A common misconception, is that popular talented bands, actually make quite a bit of money. They don't :P So saving where you can, be it for the rehearsal room or on touring, is vital for a lot of musicians. And this technique is actually quite common to use.
TheMathMog93 I know a lot of skilled metal players and dope dnb dj's don't make that much, but cutting costs from studio equipment kind brakes my heart.
No Phil no funny parts in this kind of videos :(
Phil is also way better then the new dude :/
where is phil now?
+muspra x he's the drum tech for canibal corpse I think
+muspra x cannibal*
I heard in a metal sucks podcast that phil broke his arm by a policeman. Which led Revo to cancel their crowbar tour in 2014. I think that led to his departure. Ash seems very professional and won't be putting Revo in that situation like Phil did.

Were's the funny
And the porn?
Guys, why oh why did you allow the record to be so bloody brickwalled? Because Deathless was much less bricked and I thought you were going in a good direction there. I was very disappointed to hear the increased compression once again. Why? Ash is totally buried, the drums sound weak as fuck! You are playing metal, the drums are supposed to kick us in the face! Why, in a genre that supposedly rebels, is pratically every band more conformist than the last when it comes to the Loudness War? Why are bands such as yourselves not taking a stand against this and giving a damn about the sonics of YOUR OWN RECORD!
Blablabla 😶 stop speaking start playing
i have a lot of respect for dave davidson and revocation, such a talented sick band amongst the tons and tons of garbage out there, they are an island and an oasis
