Episode 7 of our 1990 Nissan 300zx restore project. In this video, we installed the heads, sprayed the valve covers, and cleaned the lifters.

I soaked my lifters in chemdip overnight and it seemed to help get a lot of the varnish off. Guess thats a little late now tho. Appreciate the great content.

How do you catalog your bolts?? How to know which one goes where?

I would love to see this car in person. How much was in to plate all the bolts and miscellaneous?

A 5gal bucket full of bolts and stuff was $260

Did you guys used oem head stud bolts or reused the old ones? Cheers

We reused the bolts. Time will tell if it’s going to last or if we made a mistake. I’ve reused bolts on many other cars without any issues.

Head. 29ftlb on the first round and 9 second pass.
Cam cap bolts 8.7ftlbs

I have LED lights in the garage and the GoPro is having issues with it. I don't know how to fix it.

What 🤦‍♂️ didn't mask's the breather holes and didn't mask underneath valve covers but mask only oil cap 😞 now you have over spray in there now i hope that stuff doesn't come off and inbed it self in bearing's down the line al that work for nothing

I used plastic plugs to plug the breather holes. Only used masking tape on the oil filler.
