Omg My favorite Riley Sager book is The House Across the Lake too!!!! I’m on my 6th Riley Sager book which is Middle of the night I’m listening to it on audible and reading it on kindle at the same time I’m having a great experience so far. The only 2 I haven’t read are Lock Every Door and Home Before Dark.
Can I just say I absolutely love your videos. Thanks for always going in and giving your thoughts on everything it really helps me to pick up stuff is like to read as well . Very glad I subscribed too you ❤
Great reading month for you, Venus! I honestly only read 3 books in June... not a great one, but hopefully July will be better. I have so far not been hearing great things about Middle of the Night, unfortunately. I don't have it yet (and I'm on a book-buying ban), but it makes me worry about picking it up, though... I am still curious. I enjoyed Survive the Night too, and I thought The House Across the Lake was decent, but Home Before Dark has been my favorite. I haven't gotten to Final Girls or Lock Every Door, or the new one of course yet though. I have not read anything by David Sodergren but I'm curious about him as he's come up a fair amount. So sorry to hear about your father-in-law. I'm glad that Dungeons and Drama helped you through it a bit. Cute cover too! :) I've wanted to read The Pines for quite a while! Oh, all the books... :)
I've only read three Riley Sager books so far but I've loved all of them - Lock Every Door, Home Before Dark, and The Last Time I Lied. Just got Middle of the Night and planning on reading it this month. I'm also going to get caught up on his backlist so I can do a full ranking. 😊
I’ve been hearing such awful things about How to Become the Dark Lord.. I still want to read it, but now I’m worried 😂 I’m sorry to hear about the loss in the family. My Husband was definitely a wild ride through her mind 🍊
@@VenusEscapesToRead I was also really disappointed with Middle of the Night- gave it a 3 only because the audio was really good. Pretty sure it would have been a 2 if I read the physical copy. I really wanted the institute to have been anything other than a red herring
The Reformatory is one of my favorite reads of this year.
Yaaaaaay My Husband! I’m so glad you enjoyed it. Perfect choice for the quotes too, it captures her insanity. The clementine 😂
Such a great read. I will never forget Clementine!
Savor It sounds good. Thanks.
I love the Wayward Pines series!! The Reformatoy is so heartbreaking. I’ve loved all of her books I’ve read so far. Great month!
I’m so happy to hear the whole Wayward Pines trilogy is good! 🙌🏼
I wish it was Fall too!

Thanks Alicia!☺️ Yeah I could not get into How To Become a Dark Lord, such a bummer because I was looking forward to it.
My favorite Riley Sager books are: Survive the Night and The House Across the Lake. My Least favorite is Middle of the Night.
🙌🏼 The House Across the Lake!
sorry to hear about the loss of your FIL 💔
Thank you❤️
My least favorite Riley Sager’s were Lock Every Door and Survive the Night (both 2 star), my favorite was Only One Left (5 stars)
Only One Left had so many plot twists! 😄
