    Get some glass sliding doors to replace the old door that you took/removed off so you could still divide the fish room from the kitchen area/lab for your vinegar...etc. I think the glass sliding doors would look clean. & Build a wall to divide your shop area. 3 different area's you could work. you could do a ocean look epoxy floor on the concrete in the fish room, would make your fish room more that cool then it already is 👍

    The cpd fry can easily swim through the netting for the first week and get back into the tank and then eaten by the adults. Awesome tanks mate 👍👍👍

    I just found your channel and subbed. You have a nice fish room and great info. Some of the fish I know about and could offer some ideas and options. The goldfish tank is so large (8 foot?) that the Bass and Bullhead Cat are not a threat to the goldfish at the moment but the larger the catfish grow the more of a predator they become, they can eat a fish half their size, and the goldfish have to sleep. Lets say I had your fish room but also had another 8 foot tank. I would keep the goldfish by themselves and you could add more if you wanted, it just leads to larger water changes. In the second 8 foot tank I would try the bass, catfish, Oscars, Jack, all Severums, and whatever else you think would work. I'd make plenty of hideouts that don't take away swimming space, slat leaning against glass as well as caves' a few 3 foot plastic bamboo plants. That tank would have to be heated but that would just mean spring/summer temp. all year round for the bass and catfish. The Roseline Sharks or Denizen Barbs can get 10 inches long but you never see them that big. I would keep them in the 125 (6 foot tank) and add the silver dollars. I'd move all the small fish out to a smaller tank. Its all about tank size, I've seen Oscars with Angel Fish in 1000 Gallon Tank.

    Just coming across ur video, I don't do CZcams, but I frequently post videos to Reddit. Making a blind helps cut down reflections. A 6'x6' black screen, made of fabric, on a stand (they're used in photography) that u could place behind u when you're filming a tank. Or u could film at night & turn off the lights on all the tanks except the one ur filming. Of course that wouldn't help on tour video where ur moving from one tank to the next, but def when ur only doing a video on a single tank. Also wearing dark colors when filming cuts down on the reflection. When u wear light colors, ur clothes reflect on the glass too. Hope this helps :)

    When breading the guppies with comin guppies I would have more blue then any thing come out they where beautiful I want to do it again they Seem to do a lot more breathing when you just leave them alone and don’t mess with their tank too much barely even do a water change on them an heat the tank It will trigger breathing

    On your 20L bristlenose tank that has cloudy water, try adding one of the cheap double sponge filters to work as a water polisher. I had to add them to a couple of my tanks with the Aquarium Co-op sponge filters because I had the same issues you did.

    • @FishRoomAddict
      @FishRoomAddict  Před 2 lety

      That's a great idea. It's starting to come around a little. I was thinking I may have cleaned that filter to good recently and basically restarted the tank cycle. But I like your idea. It's been driving me crazy!

    Hello. Just discovered your channel. Nice fish room. I’m gonna subscribe because I’m interested to see what you do to that 220 gallon tank tank. If you’re open to suggestions I think you should put your Oscars, in that along with all your Severums, jack Dempsey and silver dollars.

    • @FishRoomAddict
      @FishRoomAddict  Před 2 lety

    Great setup... on average how much do you pay for tanks? I understand different sizes different prices.. im just asking as i think fishtanks in UK where im from are pretty expensive. And our houses are so much smaller. I would love something like this.

    • @FishRoomAddict
      @FishRoomAddict  Před 2 lety

      For the most part I have paid a dollar per gallon or less for all my tanks. So 55 gallon $55 USD. In the US before the pandemic you could actually still catch $1 per gallon sales at the big pet stores. Those days are gone for now. Also I have picked up a lot of tanks for free that people just didn't want to mess with anymore.

    Hey man, have you perhaps considered getting a polarizer lense? i am not sure if they make polarizers that can cover a phone lense, but they often help quite a bit when battling glare and reflections.
