    My favorite piece ever written. In my opinion its better than opus 9 no 2.

      It's definitely better than Op. 9 No. 2 but I would recommend others like Op. 15 No. 3, Op. 55 No. 1, Op. 62 No. 1 and 2. If you like this, you may enjoy Chopin's Berceuse Op. 57.

      kevinhart Memes I’m currently working on this piece now and I would agree that it is deceptively difficult. The polyrhythmic textures combined with the dense double notes not to mention Chopin is notorious for repeating sections but changing them just slightly enough to throw you off makes the piece quite challenging but certainly not crazy hard. It’s totally doable but it’s work. But I guess it comes down to where you’re at in your skill level of the piano as well.

      Oliver C tbh Liszt consolation is much easier then this, 2 days of polyrhythm practice and then pretty much all of the pieces difficulty is dealt with (technically that is) it requires a very control of tone but as does this nocturne and in terms of technical skill this nocturne definitely requires more skill

    I’m currently learning etude op 10 no 1. But this, i think i should learn THIS first. It has a hidden yet very beautiful melody hidden inside the right hand. And the left hand with those arpeggios? This piece is to learn like right now.

      Published the year after Chopin's death, it is hard not to interpret the Consolation as a tribute to his close friend, especially noting the similarities with this Chopin's Nocturne Op. 27 No. 2.

      The Body - Hail to Thee Everlasting Pain. Halfway through, The Haxan Cloak joins in and creates a sonic soundscape soo terrifying that you'd have to be lifeless to not feel something.
