Thnxs very easy guide! Edit of course if cleaner not work can try replace the button if that not work can be the motor caliper but first try read the codes of the car yes first too too. Can also be frozen motor so take something warm around the caliper/brakes so get ride of it that can also case the P fault on dash. Thnxs very good video for sure so best scan the car first.
I bought a passat today that has this fault but apart from the warning lights and auto-hold not working it works fine. Puts the brakes on and off. Probably needs a reset because it had a flat battery, but cheers for this vid I'll read the codes just in case 🤞

Salut.Am reusit in ultimele saptamani sa resetez frana(gen apasat habar nu am ce butoane dar a disparut) si sa ma lase sa conduc si tot, dar a aparut mereu la loc dupa cateva saptamani. Azi am schimbat butonul dar eroarea e tot acolo. Sa gasesc pe cineva cu cu computer sa o conecteze poate reuseste sa o stearga din el ? Multumesc
Hi, I have a 2008 passat b6. The brake light is constantly on on the vehicle screen, I changed the handbrake button, the brake pulls and releases, but the fault lamp never goes out, the fault code does not appear, I noticed that the auo hold does not work, can the auto hold button be changed?
I have a 2009 passat and i have a parking brake fault it cant seem to go i dont know what to do. My mechanic changed the brake pads can it be something that have to do with it?
Salut! ma intereseaza foare mult acest tip de conținut, si am dat subscribe. Melodiile de genul pe fundal sunt foarte foarte enervante. Cred ca ți-ar fi si ție mai ușor si la editat daca ai lasa voce, si ai pune subtitrari in engleza direct din youtube.
Salut si multumesc pentru Feedback. Nu poti sa adaugi subtitrari direct din youtube, trebuie sa le adaugi tu manual, sa traduci fiecare cuvant si sa adaugi timpii. Arunca un ochi pe canal si ai sa vezi ca videoclipurile postate in romana nu prea prind publicului.

If you had a flat battery you just need to clear the codes. ✌️
i have the same problem, i noticed the brakes button's light is always off, I'm wondering if changing it fixed it for you
Probably you have a blown fuse.

Poti incerca prima data sa citesti erorile. Poate nu neaparat modulul este de vina.

Maybe one of the handbrake motor doesn't disengage properly. Try to read codes again with a different diagnostic tool

Fuse or maybe one of the parking brake actuator is faulty
it might be just as simple as a switch. its a known problem. i had the same on my 2009 passat cc.

I have this on a 2009 Passat. Parking fault comes up once every few weeks but when i press and release the button it goes away. kind of strange
Probably the switch will fail, sooner or later 😁 Now you know how to change it 😊
