- I knocked on this door and asked the homeowner to clean up his front walkway and driveway completely free. He was really confused why I would do such a thing. I explained that I make videos and am able to provide the service for free. He didn't believe me at first, but after about 10 minutes of talking he let me do the work. He spent almost the entire time watching me as you'll see in the video, but he was thrilled with the result!

As a plumber, I can say I get a lot of watchers. It’s my young appearance that concerns them I guess. Not knowing I’m almost 30. But as soon as they see me work, they’re like, “oh okay.. looks like you got this under control, I’ll get out of your hair” 😂 But I do get some that don’t go away and try to help, not knowing they’re really just in my way. Requires lots of patience

Nice house in a good neighborhood. Pretty sure the homeowner isn't doing the yard himself, he seems like more of a watcher than a doer at this point. It's funny that once he was convinced it wasn't a scam, he was quick to ask for more free stuff. Old people with plenty of money are an odd bunch.
There were places where the bed edges leaked dirt back onto the surfaces and were probably the reason for the filth.
Loved the part where the guy was in the background, hands on hips, admiring his clean driveway, I’m sure he really appreciated it

Understandably the gentleman was skeptical, there are a lot of scammers. What a treat for him, hope he was glad he agreed. Looks great Spencer! And it was good to see the American flag in his front yard, small though it is.
It would be great to hear the recipient's reaction after you had done all the work - please think about asking your clients for a comment to end the video with, even if they prefer to do it off camera. Great job!

Old standard for hardscape in the 80s, not full pebble but for sure a rougher surface 👽👽

It's a lot of smog and soot from the city and air staining it, and I read that iron from the fertilizer pellets can stain it too. My driveway used to be white concrete when it was poured.
I liked watching him futz around in the background while you worked. I'm sure that can be annoying having the homeowner over your shoulder but he seemed to be staying out of the way and just as interested in watching the pressure wash as we all are.
What a beautiful home and yard and even better with nice clean pavement! I am sure he appreciated what you did immensely, just purely because someone was willing to do something so nice for him. I love watching the transformations with the pressure washing from the before to the completed, I wish you would show us the homeowners reaction to the completed project (would love to see on your mowing videos as well.) The skepticism that most have when you tell them you are going to do it for free is a great aspect to see at the beginning so seeing the reaction to the completed job would be wonderful. However, I will keep watching these as you are a wonderful person for doing the things you do and, again, the transformations are amazing.
How are you not super buffed? The work you do with pressure washing and the lawn mowing, trimming, edging and shoveling, that's alot of manual labor. You are definitely a hard working man. Not many of you left.

As meticulous and tight as the fella's landscape was I am surprised he let the walkway and drive get as bad as it was. That edging is very well done! maybe he works at a Golf Course? Those guys have excellent lawns (usually 😆 )
Retiree budgets you know. Plus, with so much history in your head, you really don't notice until the before and after....which is a big part of why we watch 👽
Pressure washing is a lot harder on your back and hands than mowing, and it gets dirty so gradually you don't notice. It sure does look nice all cleaned up.

I cleaned mine recently, and you honestly don't realise how dirty it is if you have nothing to compare it to. I would think once his neighbours see his cleaned drive, they will want to do theirs too.

I've watched a lot of videos of good people doing this type of jobs for free. I'm so amazed at how people in the US just either don't bother to check on the work, or just stand there. I think I saw one video on this page were 2 girls came out and offered him something to drink. Meanwhile the guys who do this in other countries always have the homeowners offer them tea, coffee, something to eat, etc. I guess it must be a cultural difference, but I couldn't imagine having someone do all this work for me FOR FREE and not show some hospitality.
