    Hello, very nice, I made my own barren with the round plastic cup that I used to move furniture with, it’s hard plastic and very flat on the bottom, there is several different sizes, I picked the 3.5 in diameter, you can use it as is or wrap it in cloth to make it glide better on the paper. Good luck! Henri.

    The first piece was epic in itself, the second amazing. I love the traditional design and folklore feeling of the second piece.
    I'm relearning having not done it since school days, so this was inspirational.
    Many thanks for posting.

    I marvel at how you manage to keep the paper so clean. I keep washing my hands after putting the lino onto the paper but still somehow get fingerprints and smudges all over. The stuff gets everywhere!!
    And how do you place the lino evenly-centred and straight? I'm having trouble with wonky prints 🙃

  • @_Ragnarocket
    @_Ragnarocket Před 2 lety +1

    I love this print!, awesome I made a few notes there I've been doing lino prints for a few years but never really watched others doing them, I always use those pale rubber tiles, I noticed at least yourself and the other youtubers I've watched seem to use that traditional tiles is there a reason for this or is it just because it's traditional? I loved that you used procreate and transfer paper too I always just trace over my sketches and pencil rub them on the tiles. That spoon rub thing too I just used a roller to add pressure will give that a go. Very cool to see thank you.

    • @Kathens
      @Kathens  Před 2 lety

      Thank you 😊 Yes I sometimes use those rubber tiles, too. But I noticed a difference in texture while printing, so it depends on how you want it to look like. I also find the traditional tiles a bit harder, so for me it‘s perfect for carving details, but I guess that‘s just preference.

    First of all I really love Mucha and your interpretation of this work. ❤
    I completely feel you... I just bought myself some Leno for stamp making and the cutting-out process is so therapeutic.
    I have a question about the printed pattern for the cut process: how did you print on the lino? And after every color layer did you refresh the cutting pattern?
    Thanks for your lovely video and your artwork ❤

    Hey, versuchs mal mit Liquitex matt Gel medium. Einfach dein Motiv mit Laserdrucker ausdrucken. Die Linolplatte mit dem Medium dünn einstreichen das Motiv aufkleben, vollständig trocknen lassen und am nächsten tag vorsichtig das Papier mit einem feuchten Schwamm von der Platte reiben. Das Motiv bleibt auf der Platte erhalten. So ersparst du die aufwändiges und ungenaues Übertragen mit Kohlepapier ;)

    gefällt mir das Motiv...nun habe ich schon einige Vids geschaut und sehe das wohl für feinere Kurven und Details das Softlinoleum besser geeignet scheint denn, Linoleum das eigentlich gemeint ist und verkauft wird, is das BRAUNE und das hat ne andere Verarbeitungscharakteristik. Wie is da die Erfahrung? ...

    • @Kathens
      @Kathens  Před 3 lety +1

      In diesem Video habe ich eine weiche Forbo Soft-Linolplatte benutzt und kam gut mit den Details zurecht, allerdings muss man da ein wenig aufpassen, da es schnell wegbricht.
      Ich habe nur einmal mit braunem Linoleum gearbeitet, das mir aber etwas zu hart war. Aber das ist natürlich Geschmackssache 🙂
