Imagine what Queen Elizabeth thought about the shenanigans from Sarah and Diana at age 30 and 32 when the Queen herself was a world leader at age 26. There is a real difference in maturity and responsibility.

IMO Sarah has always been a loose cannon. She gets herself into trouble. She married Andrew, but she couldn’t handle his unique personality. The half in and half out has never worked. It certainly would not have worked for the Harkles as they wanted to be king and queen along with William and Catherine if they couldn’t have it all alone. They are not team players. They would have sabotaged the Wales as they are very selfish deranged evil creatures IMO. The Harkles are not nice people.

Gosh. This means that in fact, Andrew and Sarah only divorced technically, as a cynical money making enterprise, but in reality have never actually been separated, as we have seen in the fact that she lives with him at Royal Lodge even now. They really are the forerunners of H&M, in short, and that is evidently where M got her idea for half in half out from, but turbocharged it. Clearly M studied, and learned a lot from, the York family, during the years she 'knew' the various members of it whilst she was stalking H. The more I hear about the Yorks, the less I like them.

I had the impression that the Windsor wives were victims of the “Firm” and despite their efforts were never given a fair chance. But listening to Fergie’s story and some of Lady C’s commentary about Diana changed my opinion. For all their qualities, Fergie and Diana lacked depth, sophistication and intellectual maturity to adapt. Wallis was rejected because of her unsuitable social status at the time but she was a sophisticated social climber while Meghan is an obvious narcissistic grifter. Catherine is such a good example of how a Windsor wife can be successful with her emotional maturity, strong sense of self and a quiet confidence. Catherine also married William for the right reasons and this shows in how much William flourished as a husband and father. Sadly, very much unlike his younger brother.

@joricardochard2824 I think King Charles and Fergie have bonded over their mutual cancer battles and are now supporting each other through their recovery. I also think Charles understands the affection between Fergie and Andrew. Maybe he thinks if Fergie can keep Andrew happy, he will not be such a challenge to manage now that he has no formal role in royal duties supporting the monarchy. I've always believed that idle hands are the devil's workshop. I hope Charles can find something productive for Andrew to do with his time, i.e. serving as a park ranger for Windsor Great Park, so Andrew can have a sense of purpose to his life. It would also justify Andrew's continued dwelling in Royal Lodge and provide him with the financial means to continue the maintenance and upkeep of such a grand manor. I often hope that Charles will sort out the "Andrew dilemma" and not leave it to Prince William to have to deal with when he becomes King.

I am recognizing something here. I hope I’m not insulting people who are very well off here as I tell this story. But the well off part is important. When I was young I got to know several people with Sarah like behaviours. I was invited to take a ride in a very expensive car a young wealthy woman had been given by her father. It was the dead of winter in the Canadian prairies. Instead of the short around the block ride I expected I was treated to a terrifying ride through a snow and ice storm. We plowed our way through snow banks that had built up on the highway. There was no one around and if we had gotten stuck we would have frozen to death. We ended up in a different province at an expensive hotel for an expensive breakfast after hours of this dangerous drive. The ride home was just as perilous. When I expressed concern she just stated that daddy could buy a new car if she wrecked it. I had no way to get back home and I had to report for work. That’s the point. I had a boss to report to. If she tarnished her reputation she would still have an income. I wouldn’t. Over and over again i have seen this ‘Devil May Care” behaviour funded from Daddy’s bank account. I’ve seen the family buy the school grades and pay to get their children off the hook too many times. It doesn’t end well. Alcoholism, drug addiction, divorce, suicide, death by abortion, is in the cards for these people. In some level they know that those who have to pay their own way are actually more successful and happier. The moral is this: let your children learn the hard way. Let them experience reality. Let them grow up and not remain infantile. I’ve seen too much!

Its what they did for fun at their country houses, shooting weekends, parties etc. andrew doesnt seem too upset that she was cought, as we have seen they are still together. (Funny how as a 'single' prince he has never been linked to anyone else 🤔 apart from the guifre/epstein fiasco). No gold diggers after him? No one tempted him? It was a public seperation but not a private one. And as for Diana leaking the story, that shows just how devious and manipulative she was yet we are to believe Charles was always a cold hearted monster when we see the opposite from him? Queen of hearts? 💕 Charles is a saint for never publicly slating her.

Diana catfished Charles. In a interview, years before he took up with Diane, Charles said he felt the key to marital happiness was having common interests and hobbies. Diana pretended to love hunting, fishing, long walks in the country and Balmoral. Once the ring was on, the game was over. Charles was too much of a gentleman to break the engagement.

Geez is she going to wreck her new opportunity at rejoining the family traditions or will she self sabotage again ? This is the first chapter I’ve joined in on in some time & the last until it finally ends. I’m looking forward to the next choice of book to review that doesn’t involve the Duchess of disaster .

@jeangodding6348 Your comment made me remember how Fergie broke away from Princess Beatrice at Princess Eugenie's wedding as she spotted a family friend in the crowd outside the church. She was excited to see her friend, and afterwards she sheepishly rejoined her daughter who was patiently waiting for her on the steps of the church so they could go in together to be seated. I think Fergie was a ball of nervous energy that day. Her youngest daughter was getting married, her oldest daughter was preparing to read an excerpt from The Great Gatsby (and did a fine job considering that she is dyslexic) and she was going to be in the presence of the Queen and Prince Philip for the first time in a long while.

There actually are "high church" Anglicans who do use rosaries privately. But my guess is that Fergie had one that perhaps had been given to her by a Catholic dignitary or she had picked up somewhere because it was pretty. Then she just used it as a sort of rabbit's foot.
I certainly can't imagine her using it as a disciplined devotion, saying the rosary prayers, etc.

In a way, Diana couldn’t win in the situation with Sarah . I read that Charles once had said to Diana, “why can’t you be more like her?” I suppose he was comparing Sarah’s bubbly personality with Diana’s moodiness, but when Diana joined in Sarah’s shenanigans, Diana was criticized . I remember seeing a video of the two couples on a ski slope , Diana and Sarah giggling and elbowing each other so much so that Diana almost slipped. Charles grabbed her arm to right her, the irritation plainly showing on his face , and Diana obviously pulling her arm from his grasp .

At the end, when you said you didnt believe her contrition any more, I had exactly the same thought as you just before you said it. I think she is still using the same tactics today and that , rather than being an overgrown puppy who didnt mean to make the puddle on the carpet, she knows exactly what she is doing and the outcome that will occur. It strikes me that both Fergi and Diana were entitled brats who never grew up. If we had a woman who married in to our family and behaved in the manner these two did they would be frowned upon too. In fact it makes me wonder if half of Dianas wonderful work was a calculated ploy by Diana to improve her image, purely to try and make Charles look bad. She was manipulative enough and from Fergis account doesnt seem to care much for others unless it suits her. Like meghan I find it difficult to believe that someone who would treat family like that and be so disrespectful could really truly care about those outside. I have often thought over the last years that perhaps harry has married his mother. I also am intrigued by the idea that the divorce was planned by both Andrew and Fergi so she could make them some money. That would explain why they are still living together wouldnt it! Nobody calls them out or defends themselves from accusations so will take what 30 years for all the mud that is being slung by H&M to finally be cleared up? Fergie and Diana were a couple of entitled brats and everyone just covered up their antics.
