Karen Carpenter lives on for all of us who loved The Carpenters and their rise to popularity and were then shocked and saddened by her premature death from years of illness with a disease that is now well known, and which her popularity highlighted for others to ‘take note’. I feel overjoyed that many generations to come will discover and learn and enjoy Karen Carpenter’s sublime voice and musicianship for the rest of time.
I so remember hearing this for the first time- the instant voice recognition. It stopped me in my tracks. So perfectly suited to Karen’s voice and style
