- Capturing the Sharper Image DX-3 Drone for an indoor flight video with the GoPro Hero 5 Black in 4K/30FPS Video!
I bought this drone on Black Friday for $30, and I previously flew it for the first time in the garage in a previous video, but decided to bring it to church today to do a quick flight video inside the gymnasium!
As you can see it is pretty fast and responsive for a $30 drone! It flies well and moves quickly through the air! It is a fun little drone, but the on board camera quality is low, I tried attaching the drone on board video onto this video but it was inconsistent and seemed to have timing issues (too fast, skipped scenes, wouldn't line up).
The flight time was close to 10 minutes which is pretty good for a cheap drone!

Settings: Auto Orientation Mode was one, with controller settings set to "H" or high mode. - Věda a technologie

I had the dx2 an I thought I could fly it but it took off I could not bring it back an it dropped into the woods I couldn't get it but it did go high so that was cool I got to see it go high

What happens if you have auto orientation and landing on?
How do you keep your drone still mine will move to the right I even tried the Direction trim ut never worked and im not sure f mine is broken
these cheaper drones are harder to work with, keep using trim until it stabilizes
Thanks for the vid. I got a DX-3 and your videos really helped me out. I have a question, do you know what replacement batteries I need to get? I'd like to be able to swap out the dead battery for a fresh one without having to wait for it to recharge.

Thanks will give it a try. Interesting story... I lost this drone a few days after Thanksgiving last year and had it returned to me last week. To my surprise everything still worked...after cold weather and rain it still is flying. Thanks again for all the great videos.
Impressive it still flys, i got the dx-4 it flys pretty good considering ppl are saying they suck, i dont think so they fly pretty good and are responsive
Where can I find replacement blades for this model?
i have this drone and i must ask, how do you make it do the barrel roll? i have it on low and when i press it it does nothing. does it have to be on high to do the barrel roll?
Hwy Veronica, I have been able to perform a barrel roll on all settings....make sure you hit the stunt button then the joystick in the appropriate direction.

H, M, L have to do with the settings on the drone. If you are a beginner I would suggest using L and moving your way up as you get better!

What's up with the cam recording or taking pix?
I have had a lot of issues with the camera, when i try to sync it with the video I use from the gopro it seems to skip parts or seems to speed up in parts. I am still trying to figure that out as well!
I have the same problem with my drone
So I just use it to take low quality pictures instead
even when i want to go forward it will go back I cant make it go forward by moving the stick

i just bought this drone and i cant believe how wicked fast it is, the video quality is not to bad but definitely not hi def, it would be nice if there was a way to move the camera on the remote or bluetooth the drone camera to a vr headset
can't agree more, the drone is fast, i recommend changing the setting to "h" to get best speeds!

Its probably because the drone is facing backwards. The white lights indicate the front and the red lights indicate the back.

A zoom on the camera would have been nice. Like watching a hockey puck at a hockey game.
lol, yes it would have been nice, but unfortunately the gopro does not have a zoom function! =D
So what is Auto Orientation ???
auto orientation makes the drone directional movements stay the same no matter where the "head" of the drone may be facing. In this drone it is the white directional lights which is the "head" of the drone. Making it auto orientation would mean that it doesnt matter if its red or white up front as long as you originally faced it in the proper direction head mode first.
