Very well done. Munich has one of the best transportation systems of any place I have visited.

Thank you so much. We just returned from Munich and we were so glad we'd watched your video. It really helped understand the different transport. We managed to get our tickets but still struggled with which platform and train to get on. Thankfully the kind German public rescued us on more than one occasion!!

Indeed, the trains in Munich can be complicated, partly due to the variety of services offered. I'm glad to hear this video was helpful and that your Munich train adventure went well!

0:42... as a Driver of the Suburban Railway system, i can confirm that the "U-Bahn" (The red train) is the S-Bahn. :)

Thanks for pointing this out. And at 0:43 the "S-Bahn" should be U-Bahn, right?

I think one thing missing on this video is the apps that you can use to find your route or buy tickets

That's a good idea. I actually did a research on local transit apps before my trip. There are a few apps but no clear standout at that time. Which app do you recommend?

@@RoamingGoose as a German and Bavarian I would say the DB Navigator or the local apps "MVV-App" or "MVG Fahrinfo"

Yes, which is great, because it's cheaper than any other monthly ticket and can be used everywhere.

Yes, from a ticket standpoint there is no difference between U-Bahn and S-Bahn (as well as bus and tram). It's all connected.
