    Thanks for a chilled out half hour watching Cascadia, Ricky!
    Not sure I would want to play with others tbh because of AP.
    I'd get annoyed with myself for keeping the others waiting! lol

    Thanks for this playthrough, I really enjoyed it. I've been playing this with one of my boys (7yo) and it's been a lot of fun. I'll have to try the solo game too and maybe show him how to do it. :)

    Ty for sharing and I’m pleased to see you again!
    I watched you play “Barking up the Wrong Tree” and “Zambezi”. I got both, because of your videos!

    Excellent playthrough and video, thank you very much. I just got this game and I'm learning, score still in the '80s, but we're getting there. I do have a question about scoring the terrain, and I'm wondering if it was done right. The rules say tiles are included in a continuous habitat corridor if they share at least one matching edge. In both your mountains and your prairies, you counted tiles that were either turned at an angle and only facing corners, which took them out of the line. That means I counted 5 for Mountains and eight for the prairies. Am I missing something?

      Hi Eric, they must have a full side connecting to another of the same habitat. They just need to be joined on an edge; they do not have to make a continuous "road" (they are not like the animals). Rather, you count any that are joined to each other via a full edge. You are right that joined by a corner only does not count: it has to be a full edge. i.e. it's a contiguous area of same-type habitats. So, for example, the prairie furthest west with the fish on it connects to the prairie to its south east with the fox on it. Does this help? best wishes, Ricky.

      if it helps, the simple way to write the rule is, "score 1 point per Habitat tile in their largest group of a connected habitat type". So, for example, in the video, you see a group of 7 connected mountains and a group of 9 connected Prairies.

      @@BoxofDelights I get it so it doesn't have to be in a line. They just have to be grouped together by a connected side. I can see that now. Thanks so much for the clarification, I wish I would have known that before though. Maybe I would have had a couple scores in the '90s lol. Thanks so much, and thanks for the videos.

    I wonder, what is the point, discard every round right tile in row and token?

    • @BoxofDelights
      @BoxofDelights  Před 9 měsíci +3

      three reasons: 1. to emulate another player, 2. to make the tiles cycle more quickly and 3. to create a more tricky puzzle, as it creates a tougher choice over which tiles to select; otherwise you will have access to every tile and there is no tough decision.

    When scoring foxes, I think you missed a pair. Fox 1 is adjacent to a pair of salmon and a pair of elk. Fox 2 is adjacent to a pair of bears and a pair of elks.

      you only score each pair of Foxes, not each fox.
