    There is a difference in brightness between GVM-1000D and 880RS. When you set the brightness to 100% in the app, the brightness of both lights will change. Is it possible to change the RGB colors of both lights at the same time while keeping the brightness of the 880RS low and fixed?

    Very informative, thank you. One question for you, does the 850D have sync mode for music? I thought I read that it did, but not seeing it.

      Hi Pamela, none of these panels have sync mode for music. No mic built in.

    Amazing review - thanks. Quick question : what about comparison between 850D (40 w but more LEDs) and 50RS (50w with fewer LEDs) ? which light is brighter and has more power in comparison ? 50RS 3 light kit + soft box is still more expensive (~250 AUD) than the 850D 3light kit, so wondering which kit to get for shooting close up dance videos (2-3 Meters away from subject) ? What would your suggestion be ?

      @ArtVideoProductions Před 3 lety +2

      For dance videos, you’ll need at least a 150 watt LED, one on each side. GVM 150-S and it’s on sale $100 off on Amazon. amzn.to/3emYiWA

    Thanks for the great video. I'm trying to figure out what the difference is between the 850d and the 1000d. I'm looking for key light plus using diffuser to light a green screen. Any ideas the difference between these two models and tips on getting nice green screen color is greatly appreciated.

    • @ArtVideoProductions
      @ArtVideoProductions Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Jeffrey, the main difference is, the 850D is 40 watts and the 1200D is 50 watts. Identical FX and software. For green screen, no 1X 1 panel is enough to evenly light a green screen. You’ll have spots too. You’ll need a strip shaped light or a COB with a strip softbox. I’ve reviewed 50 of these, including GVM units. Feel free to browse my other reviews.

      @@ArtVideoProductions cool thanks. I was looking at strip shaped lights on a budget, but nothing really looked as quality as these. I'll look at your other reviews. I love how you explain. Good Stuff!

    Your light meter has a mode that will get and EV value which can be converted to LUX. If you hold the mode button down and spin the dial so it goes to the sun up in the left hand corner and then make sure the display above the large numbers is not on F (like in this video) but in EV mode (Not EVA). You get exposure value. Set your ISO to 100 then when you take the reading, you can look the EV value up on a EV to LUX chart or use the internet to pull up a EV to LUX calculator you can get the exact LUX value. If you test at the exact same distances, you will get precise apples to apples comparison between any light. If you did not know that, I hope that is helpful

      @@ArtVideoProductions These lights just came today from Amazon. I was struggling between the 1000 and the 850 "D" versions. I think these will work for me, plus they were on sale for $279 in addition to having a 50 dollar coupon and gave me a free softbox. A new model must be coming out :)
