    Can you do a video on the different types of tint? Such as UV protection, 3M, the cheap brand etc?

    I believe they come in both and it really doesn't matter because the blade itself is on its side flat against the window it won't scratch the glass. Now if that blade were carbon and you put the corner of the blade against the glass then at that point you could scratch it but you would never out the blade at such an position to clean.
    Make sure to check out my How to install video to see how I use a one inch razor to clean prior to installing the film.

    The blade I love because it fits in your hand. It is not just straight. It adjusts in small increments also. They sell it in two different body sizes for small with and wider width blades. The manufacturer is America Line. I also do handyman repairs and I am tuff on my knives. They do break under the daily heavy forces I apply to them. But I quit buying any other brands because it feels good in the hand. Natural is the word. Straight sticks are too small in my opinion. I do also install vinyl sign and tinting. Yes, I have a pouch hooked to my belt that carries 1 pen, 2 size knives, carpenter pencils, and a regular pencil. If I have work clothes on that little pouch is on my hip. the pouch is I believe Dewalt clip tech.

    Great video!In your opinion what is the best way to learn how to tint ?would you recommend practice tinting on your own vehicles how would you go about it if you wanted to start learning?

    • @WindowTintingBusiness
      @WindowTintingBusiness  Před 5 lety +1

      I run a video streaming site called CertifiedTinter.com and the purpose of this site to to learn and train to become a window tinter and to continue your career in the industry.
      Yes starting out work on your car, then take it off, rinse and repeat many many times. Once you feel confident approach close friends and family about tinting their cars, tell them you'd like to expand your experience and only charge them for matieral cost and maybe a bit for your time but not full prices. Once you've built your confidence up then set your prices and start charging people for your work. Before you know it you'll be off and running.

    great videos. I watch all your videos and all are very good thanks...I'm not a window tinter but I want to learn. question??? how do I learn how to tint Windows? how did you get started and how long have you been doing it? I Google and some schools pop up in San Diego CA but they are only a 5 day program. can I really learn at least the basics?? I have a full time job and I just want to do it as a part time movil job and see where it goes from there..I talk to a few window tinter guys but no luck they said they don't teach.. but I'm really interested in learning how to tint...thanks I'm a subscriber and looking forward to more videos

    • @WindowTintingBusiness

      Thanks for being a subscriber! Honestly I learned everything from CZcams, there was some but not much in dedicated channesl hence this channel. I researched videos and learned as much as I could then called every manufacturer I could and got about 10 sample rolls and started tinting my car my girlfriends, parents anyone that would let me for free just so I could get hands on. After I did about ten cars I started charging for my services. Tint schools are good if you can afford it. Think there's a school in FL called window Tint school that offers a 3 day course. You won't learn everything but get a good foundation started for sure. I started with zero knowledge of tinting and now it's all I do and love it and it's a great business. Another good channel to check out would be Ralph Van Pelt, him and I are the only active and consistent CZcams tinters that I'm aware of.
      I started learning, tinted ten cars and started charging for tint after that. Then after a few months I went to shops to see if anyone was hiring. Shops are always looking for experienced tinters. First shop I worked for I negotiated $50k a year. The rest is history. Trust me if I can do it so can you.

      @WindowTintingBusiness  Před 6 lety +1

      I started off with maxpro. its not what I use anymore but it was good enough to get the job done most of the time and it was affordable also. Once you get your feet wet a bit more with tinting and you feel comfortable then research for other options.

    thanks for replying. I really appreciate it...wow 50k a year after just a few months. that's really good. I'm from the LA area and the tint school in San Diego CA 5 day program is 1200$. I ask another tinter this weekend if he would teach how to tint and I pay him and he said he doesnt want to teach because then I will be competition lol. thanks for the advice of calling for free sample rolls. but before I call another question?? can I just call and ask for a free sample? or do I have to be a certified tinter? or do I need to have some sort of tinters permit?? or something of that sort?? thanks again...your videos are great keep up the good work

    Tinting looks like a cool business to get into but with a low entry cost just about anybody can become a competitor versus something like a coin laundry business where you need a $Million cash to get started.

    • @WindowTintingBusiness
      @WindowTintingBusiness  Před 7 lety +1

      +Susan Vue that's the beauty of this industry. Cost of entry is very low compared to other industries. You could get a business started and off the ground for less than $1,000.

    Awesome videos lil brotha been watching all of them keep up the GREAT work and on the spray bottles I've spent a lot of money to see what actually works for me and I've found it at napa Auto parts it's about $8 but last forever I also Detail besides tinting and I put the sprayers to the test with the aluminum cleaner I use on wheels etc and it hasn't failed me since, highly recommend it and also Incase of emergencies for a GREAT spray bottle so you don't have to wait for it to come through Ups or whatever lol... Good luck on your channel vato 😎

    I'm from Augusta GA & we only take door panels off of jeeps.

    • @radricdavis7993
      @radricdavis7993 Před 6 lety

      u can pull the rubber out of a Chrysler 200 without removing the door panels & any other make & model for that matter. I'm a 26 year seasoned vet.

    • @radricdavis7993
      @radricdavis7993 Před 6 lety

      the older Hondas & some Toyota's the rubber is actually attached to the panel but u can simply pull the top panel back to achieve a clean job?

    • @radricdavis7993
      @radricdavis7993 Před 6 lety

      the key to putting the rubber back in with door panel still attached is to simply wet the under side of the rubber to create a slick surface for the rubber to slide on the metal part.

    • @radricdavis7993
      @radricdavis7993 Před 6 lety

      we use suntek in the dirty south

    • @radricdavis7993
      @radricdavis7993 Před 6 lety

      pulling the rubber out with the door panels still attached takes practice. I wouldn't recommend this technique for beginners.
