I had a very similar box, 2 fetches, only 7 mythics (1 commander). After seeing all the fire play boxes I thought i got a tampered box, but glad to see that it was just on the lower spread, guess i need to get another box to average it out lol.
I’ll be honest, this box ended up turning out better than I thought it would value wise. 1-2 fetches away from it being a genuinely good box. As it stands solid but unremarkable.
This set has some solid value throughout. I love sets like that so you aren't just looking for the big hits. Less chance for a dud box.
Agree. I focus more on floor value of a box than ceiling. We’ll see what pricing looks like as things develop but right now the fact that there is good value at the rare level definitely helps create a solid floor.
If you pick an opponent to manifest 2 cards from their hand, casting and resolving a Kozilek will add 19 power to your board and let you draw 4 cards. I swapped Zhulodok for him in my colorless commander deck and I haven’t even played with it yet and I already know it’ll be that much better
I definitely underrated him at first. He’s a bomb in limited and definitely a colorless commander all star.
The flare cycle is great, I don't know exact timing but anytime they print free spells they eventually find a home because free breaks mtg. Flare of Cultivation with veteran explorer gets you 4 mana turn one with a 5C domain turn 2. Buried Alive is the best $.25 magic card at the moment, it was Pathrazer of Ulamog (commander masters) but he has since increased in price.
Totally agree. It’s more likely than not that multiple flares find a home. It’s so crazy to have Buried Alive’s so readily available now. I am stashing mine…
So the other day on Discord when I said Commander Cards shouldn't be in Play/Collector boosters? Well, I'd still be okay with that, but I could amend after seeing things here. No one is gonna be mad to get a Goldspan or a Planar Nexus in their box, however, Wizards should not be putting the Mythic Commander Face Cards in Play packs. They are worthless and a bummer to get. Maybe the reason they are behind an uncommon is because they are not wasting a rare space? That would be nice. I still don't think they belong in Play boxes because of the drafting element, but maybe if they are in the collector's as an extended art/Etched/Portrait/Ripple it's not quite so bad. Although I personally think having 5 versions of the Face Commander is pretty nuts as it is anyway.
Ok, rant over, thanks for the video, it's always fun to see the money value start popping up, even though it's ever changing! I agree, even with a lot of banging cards, $250 just isn't easy to hit for sure!
The front facing commanders being in the play boxes is unneeded and does in fact feel bad. It’s also frustrating to open a card in draft that has text “for each time it has been played from the Command Zone.” Like, what am I supposed to do with this. I also don’t need 5 copies of any front facing commander. Like, ever…

These boxes are OK and good for getting uncommon etc but I feel the Collector boxes are a much better experience by far. More so than usual
The Collector boxes for MH3 are absolutely ridiculous. It’s early but they are certainly in the running as one of the best engineered collector boxes ever.
Ya know, I really can't call how strong this box was for you - There didn't seem to be anything huge, but I certainly wouldn't think of this box as a complete failure....

Right at the end! 1-2 fetchlands and this box was money. As it stands still a solid box.
