This system is the best! I have tried all the ferro rods, and I can say without a doubt that this is what you want with you in a survival situation.
Thanks US! Good Firestarter. May have to pick one up for starting fires! Good for the 4rh of July as well!
Yeah they sure are! Good for lighting fireworks too Im sure! Thanks for watching hope you are doing well buddy!
I've seen a home made 1 like that but it was a small Copper pipe with natural rope that was waxed pushed through it attached 2 a Ferro rod with stiker
Oh that sounds very similar! Thank you for watching!
@@UrbanSurvivor yr welcome & i think i seen it on dave cantabury
@@amandamiller94 extremely different item
wow, that is both amazing and quite good looking too (love the orange color), nice that it is heavy-duty yet compact, and includes all you need. i have small simple Altoids fire-starter kits with fat-wood and ferrous rod etc, but frankly prefer this Prepared4x setup over those for sure ! thanks for showcasing this product, very informative !
Glad you like it! Yeah I like the idea of an altoids set up for a short term survival or camping scenario but this Survival Torch will last you for quite a few fires. Really impressed by the build quality as well.
@@UrbanSurvivor yes, agreed, i have bookmarked this review and product link, will e getting one of these for sure ! thanks again !!
I like the idea behind it but my issue comes from the proprietary nature of the rope.
I need one.
Brilliant Idea - especially in extreme cold or wearing mild season gloves.
Thats a good thing is big and robust not sissy so when you lose dexterity in your hands you can still make a fire or use as torch to find your camp or your shelter .
@@warlantactical I live in Australia so we only get snow in the mountains. I know in our army reserves training we were once in shorts & tees & made to get a fire going to warm up. I see those so called reality shows where nothing fails LOL (PS did you know a "torch" in to us is what you call a flashlight in USA but I know what you mean by the fire torch,
@@matthewbrown6163 no i really mean torch
It literally is used as a torch because you can control the burn and flame size . Also you can amber transfer using the striker thats why its shaped like that
@@matthewbrown6163 this fire starter wont fail it has a positive strike table and tinder to get a fire started
Cool design, I bought the atomic bear fire wand the other day, if I'd seen this I may have bought it instead. Looks like a great product, I collect fire starters so this thing may end up in the collection at some point. Liked the video, thanks for showing this
Great review of the fire starter nice water test !
Thank you! I had a lot of fun with it!
Amazing tool. Thanks for the video.
That's pretty sweet
Not a bad all in one fire starter!
Very nice. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it Milos!
You do not have to but once you clear off more of the coating it throws massive sparks
Very good
Nice, but I made one of those years ago with some copper tube, hemp rope and wax and mine is 15" of rope, 3" of tube and 3" ferro rode for less than $10 bucks.
Thanks!
So close to perfection but :
1. Needs to be about half as big (maybe smaller) and more importantly,
2.aluminum part needs to be made of magnesium so you have another source of fire-starter.
GOOD IDEA. BUTTT WOULD PROBABLY INCREASE THE PRICE. SUBSTANTIAL. I WOULD JUST CUT IT IN HALF. AND HAVE 2.
Amazing 🥰👍
Sweeeeeet!
I watched your video and was impressed, So I both subscribed and bought one using your link. It's probably not much , But every little bit counts.
Thanks VP! Glad you enjoyed the video and really appreciate your support. This is a great product, should last you quite a while.
My only complaint is the weight. Wow it’s heavy. Other then that love it!!! 👍
Haha funny you should mention that... I have version 2 headed my way in the mail. Its supposed to be much more lightweight. Stay tuned for a video on it about a week from now!
👍🔥💯
Doesn't work for me.. I get sparks but no flame.....
Try cutting the end off and make sure you spread out the end of the wic so theres plenty of surface area and it should light!
@@UrbanSurvivor thankyou. I got it to light!
@@seanpuello awesome brother! Glad to hear it. Yea the more you practice with it the easier it gets. Took me a few tries to get it right too.
I got mine today and it took a few times to get the hang of it. It's important to really fray and fluff up the end of the rope and bend it so that it is in the direct path of the sparks. It's really cool though.
The best fire starter ?
NO !
A piece of Fat Wood and a Ferro Rod is better
