This system is the best! I have tried all the ferro rods, and I can say without a doubt that this is what you want with you in a survival situation.

I've seen a home made 1 like that but it was a small Copper pipe with natural rope that was waxed pushed through it attached 2 a Ferro rod with stiker

wow, that is both amazing and quite good looking too (love the orange color), nice that it is heavy-duty yet compact, and includes all you need. i have small simple Altoids fire-starter kits with fat-wood and ferrous rod etc, but frankly prefer this Prepared4x setup over those for sure ! thanks for showcasing this product, very informative !

Glad you like it! Yeah I like the idea of an altoids set up for a short term survival or camping scenario but this Survival Torch will last you for quite a few fires. Really impressed by the build quality as well.

Thats a good thing is big and robust not sissy so when you lose dexterity in your hands you can still make a fire or use as torch to find your camp or your shelter .

@@warlantactical I live in Australia so we only get snow in the mountains. I know in our army reserves training we were once in shorts & tees & made to get a fire going to warm up. I see those so called reality shows where nothing fails LOL (PS did you know a "torch" in to us is what you call a flashlight in USA but I know what you mean by the fire torch,

It literally is used as a torch because you can control the burn and flame size . Also you can amber transfer using the striker thats why its shaped like that

So close to perfection but :
    1. Needs to be about half as big (maybe smaller) and more importantly,
2.aluminum part needs to be made of magnesium so you have another source of fire-starter.

I got mine today and it took a few times to get the hang of it. It's important to really fray and fluff up the end of the rope and bend it so that it is in the direct path of the sparks. It's really cool though.

    NO !
A piece of Fat Wood and a Ferro Rod is better
