I mean.. you guys are basically promoting an alpha game. Streamers are why these kinds of buggy messes get popular.
Escapist And? Alpha games require funding and exposure to progress and develop into fully fleshed-out masterpieces. Your insinuation that streamers playing Alpha Stage games is a bad thing is frankly moronic, because if people don't play the games, then people don't report bugs and give feedback to the developers, meaning they can't be fixed, and resulting in either the game never seeing official release or a ending up a bug-riddled mess. And to top it off, Sea of Thieves is a good game, regardless of bugs, as are plenty of games, some being released as full releases, and they're allowed to play what they want. They haven't been sponsored by the developers to play it, so therefore they aren't promoting, they're just playing it because they enjoy it.
It is bad. Bad for gamers. But it's great for shitty little devs who want to crank out buggy half-finished garbage that will never leave development.
Ah.. maybe before talking look at what people are making that game... its Rare (Which is paid by Microsoft.) - a really STUDIO that had many great games - this game is 100% going to leave development... really stop talking without looking up things ~-~ Nobody is going to "Crank out some bucks" here ~-~
1. This game isn't even that buggy. 2. If people don't promote the games and get others to buy them then how could the devs afford to fund the game and fix the bugs and issues? 3. Just because a youtuber is promoting a game doesn't mean you're forced to buy it, if you choose to buy it then that means it must look good to you, which means it's worth supporting.
@Escapist You're bitching about a few cases of early access games that failed, and completely ignoring the many many games that succeeded and ended up being amazing titles. Also, those "shitty little" indie devs you're talking about are the main ones pumping out quality games these days while AAA companies just half-ass the game, get it out of development with basically no player testing, then sell the half-finished game as a "finished product" for $60. Don't be a dumbass talking about shit you don't know anything about.
