I 'm an American living in Korea. Here, the JW's have an interesting tactic. Everyone has a doorbell cam hooked up to a monitor inside their apartments. You can see who's at your door before you open it. They seem to know if its a guy or a girl living at a place. If it's a guy, they put a young pretty 20-something woman in front of the camera. If a woman lives at the place, they put an attractive 20- something guy in front of the camera But as you open the door. you are greeted by an older adult who will start the usual spiel. This is what we call "the honey trap".
I’m not sure I’d believe a young woman living by herself would open the door for a man, no matter how attractive. Some really dumb/horny ones yeah, but what sane woman would put herself in danger like that?
Not saying you’re lying, I’m calling the Korean JW cult stupid for that particular tactic. I believe the man with a pretty young woman one, just not a lone woman opening her door for a random guy.
Oh that’s clever
They know nobody wants to listen to their cult
How do they do that

Hence why even Peter himself said for people to give a reasonable answer when people question why you believe in what you believe
As a Christian, I think this is funny
But i guess it could also go...

"But the holocaust did happen. Let me show you in this history book."@@Colin12475

You've got to love how JWs don't celebrate Halloween, because heaven forbid strangers dressed in strange clothing randomly show up at *their* doors.
Also "trick or treat" means "I'll play a trick on you if you don't give me a treat", which is kind of similar to "join our doomsday cult or you'll suffer horribly in the Apocalypse, you tight-pants wearing heathen".
Not really.
You’re correct! Not really 😉
To play the Devil's advocate (pun unintended): they're not wrong to reject Halloween. It's demonic.

My favorite interaction with JWs is when 2 ladies came to our door to talk about the Bible, and my dad pulled out his Bible and proceeded to shut down every single one of their points with Bible verses. After that, whenever JWs cane to our neighborhood, they would go to every house- except ours. Because they knew they stood no chance
no its because you got put as a do not call because you seemed uninterested so we were not gonna pry its your choice to accept what we want to say and you think your so sigma for that? shutting down two woman just trying to serve god? and if someone did come back its cause theyd be more prepared for your questions and you most liklely didnt shut them down are versions of the bible are mostly the same other than the way its written instead of thys we have thes
@Mind_mender The fact that you used the words 'so sigma" tells me everything I need to know about you. Also, those women are not serving God. They are part of a cult. JW was founded in 1879; the true Christian Church was founded in 33. Galatians 1:8 tells us that the Bible is the last Testament of God, and there will be no more Gospels given to man by God. Not to mention the countless other points that I won't get into here for the sake of keeping this short, but I'd be glad to discuss it further if you would like.

I was friends with a JW. She didn’t see anything wrong with it, our friends did. She wasn’t allowed to come over to someone’s house if they weren’t a JW. She wasn’t allowed to go to university. Wasn’t allowed any holidays (they did something called family day where they gave each other presents) Wasn’t allowed to wear certain clothes. I live in New Zealand and at school we learn Māori (the native people before the English came) she wasn’t allowed to speak it or do the traditional dances. She wasn’t allowed to date someone who wasn’t a JW. It was hell
What's wrong with Māori? One can't explain Bible in Māori? o.O
By the way, Bible, ad an ancient and multiple times rewritten and copied text, is old fashioned about women. S.Paul's First Letter to the Corinths could pop-up in your mind, but there's more: Jehovah's Witnesses tell it aloud that males are better than females just because they're stronger and they've not got to carry a baby.
I wonder if there's a cartoon about this tiny difference between the two sexes.
I think i can be some families tho, i mean all families are different i used to be a jw ( I live in New Zealand too lol) and i was allowed to do traditional dances and learn māori even joined a kapa haka group when i was school but she should be able to learn it because you need to be able to yk explain the bible in māori when she goes preaching soo, it really depends on the parents, it can be good , it can be bad.

Once I knew a Jehovah's Witness girl who was uneasy abour her cross-shaped necklace: as the cross is a christian symbol but not in JW community, she thought it could be against God.
I don't know what her parents told her, but I was there and I told her that it was just a tiny jewel and she did not worship it. It was just a tiny ornament. Until one does not worship it, I think it's Ok.
Real problems are faraway from tiny jewels, to me, but I am not a JW so I don't really know what happend to her and her necklace.

When I sent this to my mom it spoke volumes to me. The shunning goes deep. My sister will never do that to me. She’ll respect my opinion even if she doesn’t agree. She would do her due diligence and read and listen to something she doesn’t even agree with. I love my sister. I just wish she wasn’t indoctrinated. I’ll get you out sis. Nmw. You will not die believing the bs they taught you.
This might help you in getting her out of that religion: the Watchtower February 2017 study edition, "Who is Leading God's People Today", paragraph 12. Ask her, "why would Jehovah let doctrinal errors be taught if it's supposed to be "the Truth?"" Also, ask her why is the JW Organization so afraid of it's followers doing research that contradicts what they are told by the Organization?
Wishing you the best with your sister.

@@EFCGameplaysYeah, me too. We are supposed to have a relationship with God and have a desire to glorify Him and spread the good news where God calls us to, not because some JW leaders are forcing people to do it and distorting the Bible to keep people under false religion.
@@davidreda1211 it also states in that specific WT that they do not have God's Holy Spirit. So if they don't, why follow them?
I’m a christian, and whenever someone comes to my door on Easter Sunday to talk about god, I calmly batten down the hatches and begun to cry.
When I was a young kid at some point I got sick during service, got diarhea and shat myself. I was dropped off at home and didn't have to return that day. Probably still one of the best Saturday mornings I had growing up as a JW 😛. I was so happy when it really poured rain, too much to go in service 😀

I remember having this one JW girl in my school, she was always missing out on holidays and I once asked her about it, I kid you not though, she whispered to me like it was a secret that would ruin her life “I’m a jehovas witness”. I look back on that a lot after finding out about the reality behind those words
(The emphasis on my comment was the fact she was probably ashamed or scared to talk about it)
I was born into the jehovahs witnesses and left when I was 18. These videos really trigger something in me that I suppressed completely and forgot it's crazy... I've watched these videos at one point and was excited and thought it was normal. Watching them now it's really sad and honestly disturbing.
I used to hate going in service, I'm from Guatemala and we had horrible, dangerous neighborhoods in the territory assigned to the congregation I went to, I always thought it was irresponsible for parents to take their children to these places. There were days that it was raining so bad and we'd still go. Nowadays, when they come knocking at my door I ignore them
I cringed shortly after 1:44, when I realised how exposed that child is.
We had a Jewish boy, Herrman, in our elementary school growing up. This was in the early 2000's. He was made to live religiously per his dad's wishes.
That meant different clothing (others were not allowed to wear hats indoors, even if they would like to since "it's not our culture, it's his"), different food that looked way fresher, and he got to leave school earlier than other students on fridays.
Some of the other eight-year-olds interpreted this as preferential treatment. It became a controversy the class. American rappers were all the rage, so some boys wondered why they couldn't look cool if Herrman could wear his hat indoors? Teachers explained this only with "that's their religion, end of story".
Then when this eight-year-old couldn't answer questions about his dad's religion (who could?), he was eventually bullied. Don't make small children ambassadors for your religion, they can't handle it.
If you are a teacher, don't set up different rules for different children without a painstaking explanation as to why.
I felt bad for Herrman, he had to change schools. I still think about his fate sometimes.
The kid is probably like 6 or 7 and being forced to do it cmon like let the kid watch some SpongeBob
Sad
sadly, my grandma was manipulated by this cult and she tried getting me to join it without my parents knowing it. when i was a kid she showed me these cartoons and then Jehovah's Witness tried separating her from the rest of my family
once they came to my door like 5 days in a row, i tryied to be nice and undertanding, but i was upset, i told them that i only follow cthulhu and im waiting for him to wake up and desolate eath and rule over it, i say that on a pretty serius face not even a little smile, they never came back
I cringed at the Dora the Explorer reference with Sofia. I lose!😂
Same!
I didn't get the reference and didn'tcringe at all. Or maybe it's because school made me lose feelings a long lime ago
Yeah I could not contain my cringe any longer when the mom said "Kids, can you tell Sofia what she needs?"

I was an exjw from malaysia. I joined when I was 11 after my grandma joined for few years. Honestly I have good experience since they're okay for me. I have met few good friends as well. But one thing I don't like is the service. It's REALLY boring. I remember when I was 13, after coming back to school I have to get ready for meetings right away and I really want to fall asleep when the meetings going on. Also preparing for the meetings?? I ALR SO TIRED GOING TO SCHOOL AND DOING LOTS OF HOMEWORK 💀Luckily I only went preaching for few times before pandemic happened. It's sucks.
I leave jw when I was 15, which is the begining of pandemic for family reason. I can see myself that I didn't pay attention to the meetings during the pandemic. But after discovering this channel this year, I've realized everything about this cult. Can't believe I used to believe these ppl. At least I'm glad to finally open my eyes and leave this cult earlier.

I love how COVID and Ring cameras have uprooted the whole way they do this. Now, they just stand in random places with their pamphlets all awkwardly and silently. At least it makes it easier to ignore them!

Bit late to the topic but i had a trade class with a witness that sat behind me. She KNEW i was atheist and and loved history and tried to use my fascination with history to get me to join
During one of the convos she asked me a question about the bible and i asked her how many bibles are there and how do you know which one is the true word of god and which one wasnt. She got stumped and walked away and tried again later.
