I play with the eraser side because the grippy part of the pen is closer to where the nib is, so i grip it there. Less hand slippage. Also an eraser side doesn't really deteriorate like a nib. Another thing I do is put a phone screen protector on my tablet surface to make it completely smooth, I like the feeling of no friction.
