1st Exclusive video of the Tones going off for the Brand New 2019 Ferrara Rescue 5 responding from quarters. Tac 2 was also toned out to respond to the same box as Rescue for a person on a kayak in the water. Towards the end of the video, you'll see an up close look around and inside of the new Rescue 5.

An insane moment when you hear the FDNY house tone and the company due on the run, then get to see the run happen.
I like the thoughtful touch of adding a plate on the cab face for wiper mechanical access. I just happened to notice this random detail, my old truck didn't have access on the front.

SI is so slow I could never work there. My cousin works in Brooklyn Engine 222 he had to come to SI for a week he said it was the slowest week of his life. Only runs were to get food lol

Yesterday me and my dad went to rescue five engine 160
Rotabeams, wigwags, almost a mars light with the center rotabeam, and of course with the added rumbler, what more could you ask for in a nice new rig?

What is that siren called? Sounds like a modern Q, but different than the electronic Q's I've heard.
What are those caps with four screws on every compartment door?
Keep things securely locked so the compartments don’t open up.

Old R-5 will remain as a spare for the New R-5 incase anything happens yo the new one, the old one is ready to go.

Great video, keep it up, and what is the last unit in the odd barn like thing used for? I am not a FF and not from NYC I am only 15 but know quite a bit! That I don’t know!
The one with the big number 5 on it is the old Rescue 5, I assume it is going to be used as the new spare unit, or it has some major mechanical problem and will sit there and collect dust. Not sure if this new R5 was simply due for replacement or if something happened to the old rig.
If you mean the one that left with Rescue 5 then that is a unit that has extra water rescue capabilities (hence the raft and crane to lower it into the water and it's high stance to get through flooded areas.)

Noooooooooo, they removed the Federal Q, but amazing looking rig. Do they plan on adding the Federal Q
Rescue 5 never had a Q now or before. The other 4 Rescues do have it.

The hut is an add-on because the house isn’t big enough for every rig they keep there. They parked them outside for awhile, this is much better.

All fdny rigs have rumblers. When they turn the siren on, the rumbler comes on also.

What make/model electronic siren are they using? Very distinct tone to it.
They use the EQ2B, but they have a rumbler to it.
BrianFDNY it’s too bad they won’t go back to the PA300, that’s about as distinctly FDNY as it gets.

@@nkervmedia , they are ALL in the process of being built, R-5 is just the first off the assembly line , R-4’s new rig is in the city and having the final touches done and should be in service soon.

Tactical Support Unit (TSU) which is populated with specialized gear, such as that one you could see had a boat on top.

Only 5. 4 is done and soon going to be delivered. Not sure about 1, 2 or 3 yet.

@@cfol1382 - KME lost their contract and Seagrave made a deal with fdny which is good news. Lots of problems with the KME "Keep Mechanics Employed" as many say, 😅

Wish Memphis,TN Fire had real rescue trucks. Rescue 1 is the Real rescue truck. Rescue 2 and 3 are snorkel trucks.
