    I do use ALDLDroid for most my data logging, I do not use it for burning chips because I use aldldroid on my phone and it does not support usb.

    Moates is no longer a thing. Would there be an alternative chip burner I can get off amazon or something? Recently acquired an 86 firebird and would like try and get into chip burning. With absolutely zero experience in it. Thanks for the video

    Hello, did you ever make a video showing how to tune the BIN in TunerPro after you data log? I hope to hear from you. Thanks.

    • @E.T.GARAGE
      @E.T.GARAGE  Před 3 lety +1

      I do not believe I did, if I do it would only be for my bin that I run on my 90 C4 witch has a MAP sensor, if you needed to tune a bin for an 89 C4 it has a MAF sensor so the tuning would be different. If you want to do your own tune you will need to do a lot of reading. I would go here www.thirdgen.org/forums/diy-prom/288763-prom-tuning-guide-book.html and www.thirdgen.org/promintro/

      you may be better off asking this question in the hot rod forum engine section, www.hotrodders.com/forums/#tech-help.5
      you will need to give more info like what intake cam specs ect. with 18 psi I am assuming you are using a tbi .

    uv erasable eproms are erasable with UV light and it takes about 15 minutes. UV erasable chips EPROMS use the same burner you have there and takes just a few seconds to burn. Electronicaly Eraseable Programaable Read Only Memory EEPROM 's do not need a uv eraser.

      Thanks for the input, I always read that it takes hours, I am confused if you have a chip that is burned with uv light how can I use the burn 2 to burn such a chip such as the factory memcal.

    • @kentsimon2152
      @kentsimon2152 Před 4 lety +2

      @@E.T.GARAGE It does not burn with UV, the the erasable eproms have a window the UV light can pass through, it melts the metal that then flows back into position. When Burning, the metal is vaporized and coats the surface inside the compartment somewhere. when you "flash" an eeprom it erases inside as well, I am not sure about how the eeprom works, but I have worked with eproms for over 40 years. There are some proms that use the same teck as the eprom, but have no window so you can't erase them.

      @@kentsimon2152 Thank you for the info and clearing that up , my only experience is with burning the 27SF512 chips that I get from moates, if I could get my hands on the correct memcal for my 90 with out spending a lot of money I would try it, I don't want to try it with the one I have and ruin it. Some times I see one for sale but they usually want over a $100.00 dollars.

    how to get xdf file from honda ecu software

      Not familiar with Honda stuff, go to www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Injection/forum.php and ask there, be patient for a reply. You will need to provide them with more information than just Honda.
