On Tuesday, Portal for Azure Key Vault Managed HSM entered public preview. Azure Key Vault Managed HSM (Hardware Security Module) is a fully managed, highly available, single-tenant, standards-compliant cloud service that enables you to safeguard cryptographic keys for your cloud applications, using FIPS 140-2 Level 3 validated HSMs.
Also on Wednesday, it was announced that Azure Application Gateway now supports mutual transport layer security (mTLS) and online certificate status protocol (OCSP). It is one of the several great features of Application gateway that provides our customer with an extra layer of security. Mutual transport layer security (mTLS) is a communication process where both parties verify and authenticate each other’s digital certificates prior to setting up an encrypted TLS connection. Azure Application Gateway is a web traffic load balancer that enables you to manage traffic to your web applications.
