    Hey, whenever possible do you think you could do a ukulele tutorial of "For Forever" from the musical Dear Evan Hansen? My friend and I have been planning to preform this song live and she wants to find a good tutorial to understand it better. We completely understand if you can't, keep up the good work on your videos!

    I love blues music! Growing up my dad used to play a lot of blues on vinyl for me and it kinda always stuck with me. Even later on in life when I started singing and learning how to play the uke, I would always gravitate more towards blues or stuff that sounds similar. I feel really happy and grateful that there is someone (you) out there, that takes time out of their day to make these amazing lessions. Even though I dont understand what the heck youre talking about atm, I'm sure it will all fall into place with practice. I love your energy and your vibe, you seem like such a happy person and you're REALLY talented. ♥ Sending you good vibes from Croatia!

      First of my friend, your Dad sounds cool. I'd love to come so Croatia some day, how is the Ukulele scene? This lesson was a little theory heavy, maybe I would try some more basic blues videos get started, the blues playlist attached in the little i on the screen in the top right corner has a wide variety of levels to play from. Also, good news, I have no talent! I was born with no rhythm, no pitch, no nothing, but I work really hard. I am living proof that learning an instrument is more work than talent, which means no matter where you are at right now, you can do it to! Stay cool friend.

      He's a really neat dude. He made sure both my brother and I (he's a drummer) had good taste in music, so we grew up with a lot of hard rock,blues and psychedelic music playing in the house (Pink Floyd, Uriah Heep, Deep Purple, The Beatles to name a few) :D I will definitely start from the beginning and work my way up. I find music theory really fascinating but maybe I'm just nerdy like that,idk haha . The ukulele scene here is...well id say sparse. I know only a handfull of people in my city but who knows maybe there are more in other towns and we're all just keeping to ourselves with our tiny instruments :D I think im the only person I know of in my area that makes music on the ukulele (and uploads online). I wish there was a greater community, but im really happy with the bunch of awesome ppl I met through the wonders of the internet :D

    • @TenThumbsProductions
      @TenThumbsProductions  Před 6 lety

      Set the ukulele trend then friend! If you like music theory start with the study of intervals, and how different combinations of them make different scales, and how scales are made from those scales/chords.

    • @RoYeah
      @RoYeah Před 6 lety

      I'll do my best! :D That's definitely something I'll keep in mind and start working on. Thank you for the advice, I wasnt sure where to start but this seems like a good place to begin. ♥

    Okay, so. I am a fairly experienced Ukuleler (Yes, that's a word)... but I have no idea what the scale theory is. I've been doing a lot of riffs, but I'm not sure if scales are all that important.. can you provide some insight, Tyler?

    I have a cheap beginner uke. Do lower priced Uke’s have a hard time making a hammer note sound? Do you know? or is it my beginner limited ability?

    • @TenThumbsProductions
      @TenThumbsProductions  Před 4 lety +2

      jasneskis yesX the hammer on will be affected by the quality of the uke. The hammer on and pull offs depend on sustain (how long a note plays) and cheaper ukuleles have a lot less sustain.

    A suggestion. Your small tab screen is at bottom right of the screen. When video is paused for practice that small screen is covered by writing and impossible to see. Could that small tab screen be moved to top right corner. Then it would be visible when tutorial paused for practice.
