The Supreme Court Bench led by Chief Justice Chandrachud resumed hearing the Kolkata Doctor's Rape and murder case. The CBI and the West Bengal government presented their reports. The Bench blasted the Kolkata Police for the "14 hour delay in FIR" asking how they could defend the fact that the first FIR was filed after the post mortem and not before. Justice Pardiwala said "I have not seen anything like this in 30 years."
Why was the vandalism allowed to happen in the first place.
The hurry in cremation before FIR is very very serious, so no second opinion could be possible.

The haste by which the body was cremated by the Government is really the biggest question mark! It meant that there is no way a 1 hour initial prost mortem finding written in shoddy medicolegal terms can be verified. That in itself is a crime that behooves charging the Government with dereliction of duty.

The WB government has completely mishandled the situation. They must accept the mistakes and not defend the undefendable.
What is never properly investigated is why was a woman murdered even if she was raped? It's usually never said and just assumed that it must have been a sexually motivated crime and that she must have been murdered to stop her from saying anything+guilt from the criminal. But this has to be a part of the investigation and then told outloud to everyone as a fact not something we just assume. And because we're using the same logical fallacy in this case as well we are not asking the main question WHY WAS SHE MURDERED? We must not put the two together (rape-murder) unless the CBI declares it as such from their investigation. Not all rapes end in murder, so WHY DID THIS ONE???? And from following the case we know there is a high chance of premeditation to this murder making this something other than a sexually motivated crime.
Argument won't serve any purpose.It won't deliver justice to the victim.

I am glad that the SC has told the state and centre to not politicise the case. Let the court and the CBI work.

I feel that this is all just a case of whataboutism. The court is urging for a speedy trial, but then they schedule the next trial date for September 5th. Why is that? The crime occurred on August 9th-10th, and we still haven't been able to provide solid evidence. If we set politics aside, it's pretty evident to the students who the real culprit is. Shouting about this on CZcams won't help. I wonder why there was no action from the women politicians in West Bengal initially. They only reacted after 4-5 days. It's truly disheartening when we should all stand with the poor family and work to restore calm in our society. The attitude of the court itself shows that the law and order, as well as the police, aren't serving justice here. Yet, they've gone ahead and given the next trial date on September 5th. I feel this is not just a West Bengal or Maharashtra issue. Nothing is being done to change people's mentality and behavior. I simply don't understand why there are no laws or regulations to hold people accountable for spreading false information about the victims, sharing photos, etc. I've noticed many social media platforms gaining attention with misleading headlines and spreading misinformation. Why hasn't the government put a stop to this? I remember during the Lok Sabha election, the details from the Bengaluru pendrive were prohibited from being shared on social media because it was affecting the ruling party. However, in this West Bengal case, it hasn't been stopped.

If the doctors gave fake/incorrect info to news reporters regarding the post mortem, shouldn't these doctors be persecuted? This is a very serious issue and no one should have given incorrect info to journalists like Barkha.
Those doctors had no access to crime scene , neither they were present for the post mortem. Journalists had no business taking anyone’s word for the report unless the report was officially published. Those doctors were also like regular people conveying hearsay to media. This is just bad journalism.

After that preliminary enquiry is to be carried out to find out the culprits and arrest and remand them.
Procedural lapse or whatever, 150gms body fluids or weight of organs, CBI or Kolkata police, Supreme court or State High Court,,..,....,... Can please someone answer what's the Prime Matter of Concern here? Fact of the matter is - a young lady budding doctor was being bullied for a few days, then on a fateful night during her duty hours she was raped so much so that she had fractured bones all over, her eyes bled, her body had several injuries superficially too, later the location of the crime was vandalised and body was cremated earlier than necessary, thankfully a postmortem was done and as per rule there should be fluid samples and swabs of all kinds and places. Are these not enough??? It's obvious a single person could not have done this alone, the principal is a monkey of the superlative degree and must be brought to book for the welfare of an organisation as RG Kar. But is that the Prime Matter in question here ? Is it not more important to make arrests and put behind bars the ones who tortured and murdered the girl? Where is the lady who pinned her down while she could be broken? Where are the other male doctors who tortured her while the lady held her? Who is arresting them? Why have those not been arrested as yet? That guy Sanjay did the final job to erase evidence so that the educated can go scot free. He is a scapegoat. Why are those not getting arrested? Are we protecting them? Tomorrow one of them might be prescribing medicines to you, me or someone of us, will you feel safe in their hands? Why are these not getting arrested? Why the delay? So more evidence can be covered up or can be covered with confusion or layers of legal ..…… lost from public view and memory with grief, anger, loss, time?? May be some will flee the country too. For God's sake arrest that woman, those male doctors. Don't waste time.
Hearing to all the points discussed in the show, I have few things to say. Based on the forensic reports that the CBI submitted today to the SJI, its pointing to one perpetrator and not gang of members which undermines all the previous claims that this is a gang rape. Known from the CCTV footage the accused was the only seen person around seminar hall and that he remained in the hall until 40 minutes also he was drunk, how could he commit such a heinous crime (beat badly, rape, murder) in that short period single handedly? Lack and destruction of evidence are a miss here and also the accused seems to not have delved any other names apart from his only involvement. CBI seems to be investigating the case as clear and on straight path based on their first report. I am hoping they also investigate from other angles like lie detectors tests of accused, last people the victim had dinner with, why the rush to cremate, why the resignation etc

Those doctors had no access to crime scene , neither they were present for the post mortem. Journalists had no business taking anyone’s word for the report unless the report was officially published. Those doctors were also like regular people conveying hearsay to media. This is just bad journalism.
