As someone who does ovals a lot and is very proficient in super speedway racing this was very entertaining to watch a beginner try it and realize how scary it is
Just a quick note, unlike f1, when you go green, you cant switch lanes until you reach the start finish line

When you’re coming through the pits you probably noticed that there were two lanes and everyone was riding the far outside lane till they got closer to their box. This is to prevent crashes/pile ups in the pits. So when you’re coming through now just ride that far lane till you got closer to your box then hop into the closer lane :) great racing as always!

Nah you don't go 3 wide on the green flag cuz you have no speed. Its not bad going 3 wide at super speedways. I've seen people make 4 wide work but usually loss out on the back stretch

Small tip for these kind of tracks. Make a few friends. When it’s late in the race, have those guys you can trust to push and if you want to make a new lane, it’s likely they follow you.

My friend, you can watch race highlights before. Ofc you can't see, that's what makes plate racing so intimidating and the spotter so important. Don't modulate the throttle so much, keep your foot steady, that will prevent the car from wanting to spin out. And always try to run tighter, a loose race car here is a slow race car.

@@TheRealerArbor i had really back luck on Dega and Daytona during the prev week. ~-500 irating combined, and down to 1.5 from 3.8 SR. regardless where I started from and where I was during the race.

I want to state for the record, great race but on thr big super speedways(daytona, talladega, and Atlanta) you can't pass under the yellow line

@@jarnoopmeer Your two left tires can touch the yellow line, but if more than 1/4 or 1/2 your car is past the second line, it’s not allowed. Technically in iRacing it’s still allowed, but it’s more of a racers code not to.

That’s just how drafting works. 2nd place has the perfect pocket of air. Barely disturbed from the first car and perfectly bubbled at the the rear. That’s why when it comes to the final lap or two, you almost always want to be in 2nd.

Superspeedway racing is pretty boring up until the end, the rest of the tracks are far more entertaining.
Because they race wheel to wheel for hours. A small mistake and you and everyone near you is in the wall

Use auto button for ffb after a couple laps. It’s fully clipping the entire time. Button will appear after you drive a couple laps and then drive back into the pit. 99% of the time it’s spot on first try, change for each car cus every car is different.
Was clipping because i didn't have the torque key
@@jarnoopmeer still would’ve used the auto button on ffb, would have solved the clipping for that race and if you have the key again, can just put it back to where it was with a click of a button.
