The Prayer, covered by erhu and piano 祈禱 二胡演奏

Since the Russian invasion, I've made it a ritual to end every performance with this song. As a Taiwanese, I empathize deeply with the Ukrainian struggle. Sadly, the world seems to be spiraling into more conflict and disasters. Each time I play this song, I offer a silent prayer that it will be the last time because "each soul will find another soul to love."
Celine Dion is my favorite singer, without a doubt. I pray for her health and hope she continues to move the world with her voice.
Once again, thanks to my super pianist and recording engineer, the entire song was created from scratch by ourselves. What you hear is all produced by us in the studio!

原唱為席琳狄翁和安德烈波伽利的這首歌，20 幾年來都是我最喜歡的曲子之一。自從俄烏戰爭開始，我就錄製了這首歌，從那時候開始，我每一場音樂會都是這首歌結尾。過去這兩年多，我常樂觀地認為戰爭就要結束了，我不會再演這首了。無奈一個戰爭還未結束，另一個又起，甚至全球各種天災人禍不斷。每一次演奏，心中多麼盼望像歌詞說的「我們夢想著一個再也沒有暴力的世界，和平之日來臨，四海一家」。
席琳狄翁是我最喜歡的歌手，沒有之一。祈禱她身體平安，繼續用歌聲感動世界。
這次到了美國和加拿大的邊境，花了一星期的時間，飛了幾千英里，轉了八趟飛機。每天早上要趕在太陽升起前出門，在接近零度的戶外穿著飄逸的衣裳優雅的錄影。聽起來好像很辛苦，但其實我樂在其中。
再次謝謝我的無敵鋼琴手和錄音室，整首歌從零到完成不假於他人，你聽到的都是我們自己在錄音室生出來的！
我們沒有強大團隊，就只有三人。但是我們熱愛音樂，喜歡自然，也喜歡大自然。不管是音樂或是影片我們都沒太多的後製，自然就好！

Winner of Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award 2018, Sun Hui 洪充惠, born in Taiwan, studied erhu from the age of seven. She has won numerous major awards, including the prestigious Outstanding Artist Award at the Taiwan National Erhu Competition. After earning a Ph.D. in Ethnomusicology from The Ohio State University, she continues to collaborate with a variety contemporary composers & musicians from World, Western-classical, Chinese and other musical backgrounds. She had been invited to perform at various esteemed venues around the world, leaving only Austria and Antarctica on her bucket list. Since becoming a resident of Hawaii in 2016, she has developed an interest in combining erhu with music of Aloha. Don't be fooled by her charming picture, she is also a champion of Taiwan National Taichi competition.
