Takes me back to the innocence of my childhood in the 70’s. Those carefree and wonderful times where everything is a possibility. I miss the love, the hugs and kisses of both my parents that gives me the unwavering assurance that no matter what happens, everything will be alright. I miss the loyalty of my childhood friends who swore will be there til the end. Both my dad and mom have passed on, same with some friends who were taken too early or too sudden. Gone also were the bonds we forged with friends we thought would last but alas, couldn’t stand the test of time and distance. We’ve got different lives now, so different from our not so distant past that the machine we used to use for talking between long distances to get closer with our loved ones is now the same machine that keep us from communicating with the same between the couch, the dinner table, or the bedroom. And yes, one day in my life, I remember a place I was touching someone’s face. That’s the face of my beautiful wife who, for twenty two years now, I still wake up to happily. And I will do so until one day in my life, I will close my eyes forever.

this song reminds me of the days when were still in our old residence. Simple but quiet abode for a family of four. I remember the star apple tree and its sweet fruits. The gushing of fresh air all the way to the terrace decorated by potted bougenvilla plants. But an incident took us away from that home. It devastated me until now. Half of my childhood life was left in there and its hard to move on. I may call it as afternoon delight when hearing this song but it pains me and the rest was nostalgia. this song reminds me of the days when were still in our old residence.
Simple but quiet abode for a family of four. I remember the star apple
tree and its sweet fruits. The gushing of fresh air all the way to the
terrace decorated by potted bougenvilla plants. But an incident took us
away from that home. It devastated me until now. Half of my childhood
life was left in there and its hard to move on. I may call it as
afternoon delight when hearing this song but it pains me and the rest
was nostalgia. All I can do now is feel the wounds of the past. I may
have intentions of forgetting them but this song keeps me in the memory
