So I got invited out to Padres Fantasy camp in Peoria this Jan. Haven't played in in 20+yrs (college) Used a reflex gold back then but they are supplying me with wood bats. Not sure what kind but they took my measurements. Anyways, watching a lot of your old vids on wood bats to buy a few. See if I can still put some balls in the seats.

@@phoenixbrown15 Growing up I was taught to hit line drives. Only 3 homeruns in high school. High average first baseman/Corner outfielder. Once I got to college my coach was like F that BS. I want HR hitters. "Those guys get drafted" He had a pretty good % of players drafted. Changed my mechanics and bat size and I started hitting more out. He even set me up with Workout/Tryouts with the Padres and Brewers after my freshman year. Then the ever so common Injury happened over the summer. Couldn't swing a bat for 2 years so I walked away.
@@louie3481 Kind of, I want to say my Easton Gold Reflex was around $300 which was expensive to me at the time. Cleats right around $115. Used the same gloves I had in High School. We would take these team trips our coach set up to daytime tapings of TV shows. I guess the shows would pay the program to fill seats. Saw Michael Jordan on the Arsenio Hall Show lol

Played on that field on a summer league team. Both teams just tried to go yard every at bat. Not a high scoring game. Haha. That stadium is sick. Great video. Glad they let you out there. Keep up the videos

The other thing I'm noticing with the Batbros video is that exit velo from one-piece bats is like 3-4% better than the two-piece bats which likely accounts for the difference of 20 or so feet in distance. This one-piece/two-piece EV difference appears to be consistent among slow pitch and baseball bats.

Bought my 12 year old the hype 30-8 last week and this weekend was his first tournament using it and hit 2 homeruns over 230ft fence. He loves it

You forgot to add the voodoo one was sold out hours after it went on the website that has been sold out every year since it's been out. In the by one you either got to get it custom or by the mark up version that people sell on the internet
Any estimate as to when I can expect the voodoo one coming back in stock? I understand it probably won’t be in stock for the rest of the year. Just trying to get an estimate.
I know this doesn't answer your question, but if you want a custom voodoo 1 you can get it for 400 on Demarini's website. downsides are it is 50$ more and takes 8-13 weeks to arrive. Upside is that you get a voodoo 1 and with a sick custom design!
Tough to tell. From my understanding they restock it every few weeks in small batches

My question is what bat would be better for those entering thier freshman year. Would the hype beeing a more forgiving option be better than the voodoo. Coaching 14u ball I see to s of kids with 31-32 voodoo's and unless they are just an animal I am not seeing a difference in performance to any other types of bats in bbcor. My goal is to get someone swinging a bat they can consistently produce with. I am just wondering if early on though to forgiving is not helping develop as well. Any opinions welcomed.

It’s just the color, I have had the cat 9 connect I’m not a fan of it the meta PWR is far better but if your looking for an end loaded bat I would go with the Select PWR or The Goods.

It’s almost impossible to get a good deal on good baseballs man. We pay $60-$80 per dozen a lot of the time. Wilson A1030 flat seam

A lot of people don’t realize but 380 is like 450 off of 90mph so will would be boss in pro baseball but I don’t know the rest of his logistics, but I already know trace rakes
but it takes a much shorter swing/load to catch up to 90 mph pitching. That's why Trace takes smaller less aggressive BP hacks than Will so he can stay tuned for minor-league pitching.

Nooooo! I have the 2019 voodoo one and it's a small for me because I've grown a lot since I got it. My dad is convinced that it is the best bat for me so he wont buy me a new one. In my opinion (from looking at many size charts) I need a 33 but I have a 31.
Sell it now out of stock for 4 2 6 weeks ask close to 300 around 50 more get new one in Feb. Xmas is close it will sell

So overall. The aluminum bat is hotter and more durable than the composite types. If so. Why are composites even considered? Thanks.
Contrary to what a lot of sales reps will say, Composite is mainly just really good in USSSA. The main benefit of a composite BBCOR is that you can get a light swinging bat with a forgiving sweet spot, but other than that they get stomped by alloy. There’s a reason you don’t see much composite in college baseball
