In other words, it was the poor against the poor, with the wealthy individuals just sitting by and watching the whole thing burn. Nothing has changed in the almost 160 years since the riots happened, the poor continue to be exploited by the wealthy with further and further concentration of wealth, in smaller and smaller circles.

Your street images are 30 to 40 years after 1863.

$300 in 1863 is the equivalent of $7,500 today.

You keep saying "working class men". Uh-uh. They were poor Irish immigrants. The Irish wanted to be "white".

Well, most of these Irish immigrants were immigrants and some were American citizens already but these people left hell in Ireland starving and they got to America, and the good bodies kept coming up north, and the politicians were having them drafted to go off to war. Sad.
The saddest of all is in the north and south the wealthy and upper middle class didn’t have to go fight .. Nothing new under the sun and they don’t go unless they choose to

I disagree with your presentation of this horrible event, and your very broad generalization linking this tragedy, to modern racial tension. The abolitionist movement was an extreme, but loud political minority EVERYWHERE in the nation (just like the wierdos running the show today). I will also comment, that it is entirely against the concept of " free men ", when they are forced into conscription (slave soldiers) for the federal government, and not the states.
Not even touching on his policies as president, Abraham Lincoln was the worst commander in chief in US history, by the numbers alone, and that is a fact, yet he is celebrated as this amazing hero, when he is largely responsible for this nation going to war with itself, thus destroying half the nation, killing over 100,000 Americans, and countless innocents, while wreaking so much havoc upon the southern states, that it would take an entire century to complete it's "reconstruction". The civil war, is NOT the narrative that they push in our government funded public school systems . . .
