Nicht schlecht, sie ist 60! Eine tolle Sängerin.
Stoyanova’s Aida, Emilia, Desdemona…she outshines all the rest. I can’t take to Yoncheva. Netrebko is marvellous (in certain roles. Her Elsa at Dresden was sublie. No, Stoyanova is a true Verdian dramatic soprano. Her Requiem with Chicago Symphony with Muti is GLORIOUS! Pity she so seldom records. All the roles cited above are live recordings. Each better than the first. Greatest soprano of the early 21st century? Oh, i think so.

Just now discovering her. A shame its so late in her career. Does she sing in the US? I cant warm up to Yoncheva either. I like Radvanovsky and I really like Kari Alkema. A very exciting, ballsy voice. Reminds me of Eleanor Steber- but she sounds nothing like her. ) Alkema is also Sondra Rs cohost on the very fun SCREAMINDIVAS podcast.

Si en directo suena igual o mejor que lo que captan los micrófonos de grabación, sus funciones son equiparables a las de Netrebko en la Aida que se está dando ahora en el Teatro Real de Madrid. Lo que me sorprende es que ambas corten en seco la nota final en vez de dejarla apagarse poco a poco. Igual es que no está escrito así, pero acabar las arias con notas sostenidas en "morrendo" da más pie a lucimiento de los medios vocales de los cantantes que cortarlas en seco, y al público deja con la miel en los labios.
