Gracias profe Alejo. El tema tiene mucha tela que cortar. Por ejemplo he notado que cuando se usa para dar ordenes lleva el 'to' del infinitivo. Eje: "I want her TO arrive early (quiero que ella llegue temprano".
O cuando hay una expectativa hacia el futuro se usa el 'would'. Eje: "I was hoping she WOULD arrive early (esperaba que ella llegara temprano).

Muy bien explicado. Es en el uso del subjuntivo donde el studiante del Inglés puede corregir a los nativos. El Modo Subjuntivo tiene un hermano que se llama El Modo Conditional. Tal vez en otra lección usted lo pueda explicar. Muchas gracias por esta excellente lección.

Good video! Though as a native English speaker I want to note the examples from 4:57 to around 6:19.
The use of the subjunctive here doesn't really make sense. In the first examples, we are doubting something that would otherwise be assumed as true and indicative. Thus, we use the indicative and would say:
- I doubt that he *is* guilty.
- It's unlikely that she *is* lying.
The other two expressions of emotion are representing facts that are indicative as well. We would never use the sentences in the video but would rather say:
- I'm happy that she *is* successful. (Because her being successful is not hypothetical, she *is* successful *for a fact* )
- We are sad that it *is* over. (The event has already ended, and since we know *for a fact* that it is over, we use the indicative)
If these sentences used 'be' rather than 'is' in formal writing, I'm afraid they would be marked as incorrect. But other than that everything in the video is correct, este es un buen vídeo! :)

Tengo una duda ¿por que con el verbo want se usa -to- y no -that-?
Por ejemplo porque se dice (quiero que lo escribas): i want you to write it, y porque no se dice: i want that you write it
