I found an Ai mod that would improve the Ai more. It's called Merciless Half-life Alyx by cuser. It makes the Ai avoid grenades, increased accuracy, rate of fire increased, and increased health. I think it would be a great addition to the Ai battles you make.

They don’t get ptsd, as their memory is continuously wiped every day. (Specifically to prevent ptsd or rebellious actions) Rebellious thoughts or mental issues related to extended combat exposure are called “cognitive dissonance” in the combine.
You know this is so cool, it's interesting because the Universal Union theoretically can invade and try to conquer and assimilate the Star Wars universe if they were to find it, this is an awesome look into how that might look :) the UU is scary to think about

@@hekmatyar4476 yea, one thing about the universal union people tend to forget is that we're fighting mostly the 'police' force they left on earth to keep the realtive peace
we're not fighting anything even close to even half their millitary might: they have fucked off to invade other paralel universes
the combine forces on earth are just there to ensure humans continue to obey: the Civil protection units; the literal cops, are just us, you or me, a normal person who joined up with the hopes of getting better living conditions and more food for our family
the soldier is just one step up from CP; they are given some basic millitary tactics and given basic, earth style equipment and protection, by which i mean a basic kevlar vest it seems - the vevlar material is all over the body but its nothing to wright home about
the Elites; the ones dressed in all white are meant to be the special forces type of the soldiers: but are still given the same level of equipment
essentially the training and the gun you get given are a bit better the higher up the chain of command you go
the closest we get to seeing what they have to offer is what FEW alien-mech-biomechanical things they left behind on earth to bolster the police force
the strider, the hunter, the gunship, the dropship
i imagine those creatures or whats left of them under all that tech, are like the humans in that they are simply given police level equipment and weaponry, millitary tech at most
it makes you wonder; what other units do they have on offer. and are there different levels of the current ones we know about that we just havent seen?
imagine if the striders we fight are just CP level; what would the elite strider look like?

They do. They are specifically coded to actually work better with the ordinal as a squad leader.

Let me remind you all, these aren't standard OTA units. They are used _specifically_ for the exclusion zone. Look at their outfits. It's not clear on the wallhammer and officer, but if you look at the grunt and suppressor, it's clear that they are wearing a form of hazmat suit. This is because of the contamination inside the exclusion zone that they need to keep safe from.
Grunts, sorta. Not really. The APF is wearing a heavy bodysuit because.. its a body suit. They are used in multiple areas. In the beginning of the game, you literally get arrested by urban versions of them.
I mean, the OTA are armored astronaut/hazmat soldiers ment for mass production, I think the HL2 Soldiers blueprint is descended from the Ordinal, that is if the OTA existed during Alyx

The universal union would crush the entire galaxy most likely. The stormtroopers are fighting against essentially the prison guard forces of the combine, just humans the combine had modified. If you read about combine lore, you’ll realise almost nothing can stop them.
The Combine Empire would have made The Galactic Empire shat it's pants. The Combine Empire is extremely massive, spanning innumerable parallel universes and dimensions compared to the portion of the Milky Way by the Galactic Empire.

The Ordinal kind of reminds me of a Death Trooper.
Is it just me, or do the combine shotgun troopers fare pretty poorly in these? They're just so big and slow and their weapons have such poor range they're usually some of the first to fall.
They too slow to shoot and its take a long time
Their ai Doesn't interact well with multiple enemies firing at them as usually the only one that can do that is the player. so they keep their shields up way longer than they should.
chargers are probably intended for dealing with petty criminals rather than actual combat.
