I use a diary app for my BoS because it files it easy, I can put an emotion for how well I understand/ how comfortable I am in it, I can add pictures/drawings AND it has a lock (broom closet)

Never saw her before. Then a day or two later, I saw a picture. I thought, "Holy shit! That's Her!" Was a picture of Hekate. Long story short...I've been quietly practicing since then. She really embodies how I've felt for years. Nobody I know would understand that. Hopefully that answer didn't put you to sleep. Be well!

I’ve been struggling a little bit with boundaries surrounding my family. Especially surrounding my craft. I try my best to keep an open mind and to listen to them, but it can be a little difficult when they’re not very respectful towards me and quite a bit older as well. If anyone has any tips that would be really appreciated [you don’t have to, of course :) ]
@@thatcrazydaisey3437 They often make fun of me for meditating and doing yoga. They also get really upset whenever I mention Tarot cards, they say that it’s a gateway to hell. Generally they just call me crazy for doing things that make me happy. (Ex: using crystals, asking about tarot cards, talking to my guides, etc) They also tell me quite a bit that God is the only person I should be speaking to. (Also I’m really sorry I responded late okaysorryhaveaniceday)

I just started writing down the basics. Different chakras and different crystals that I have. I’ve had tarot for about 5 years so I’ve been practicing that off and on.

I'm a young male in my 30s whom without much reason (although anxiety mixed with depression, frustration & sadness might have something to do with it), all of a sudden came into this fascination and eagerness to learn all I can about the craft. It's only been couple weeks now but my obsession and knowledge is growing. I've already watched about 70% of the videos from thewitchofwonderlust and now I'm proceeding to watch the greater majority of your videos from oldest to newest. Even with that being said, there is so much more to learn and research and I, quite frankly, can't wait for all that lies ahead in my journey!
absolutely loving taking my notes in Obsidian (writing software). its really easy to cross-reference my own notes with the way linking things works, i dont have to trash a page when i remove or update things. I'm the kind of person who needs a foundation to reference before i start experimenting and especially since ive found myself leaning into revivalist asatru being able to keep notes on multiple sources to filter what information i actually need is a must.

I have practiced for many years and was asked the other day to be a mentor. I turned the lady down. Not bc I could not teach her but what I do is only taught to family. I told her to check you out. Also I would teach some of the things that I can. Hope all goes well. My fav. has to be grounding and centering. As a witch this is something every ONE should know. I pick up so much from others and at times it can be crippling. I have to ground and protect myself by putting myself in a bubble...Safety is a must if you care about your home and others. I make oils for a shop close to me and I have used baneful herbs in them. I always use a warning label...ALWAYS!! I have studied herbs for many years to be able to do this. Have many notebooks and recipes that have survived for many years. All baneful herbs have substitutions for each.
Not me over here suddenly watching my 7 day candle burning on my altar very closely... Great video, super helpful for drawing attention to the fact that necessary skills don't necessarily have to do with magical skills.

Boundaries are not about other people at all, they are only ever about yourself. You can't give someone else a boundary, but you can uphold your own boundaries and make sure no one crosses them.
It's OK to say it, most people don't have critical thinking skills because it's not taught anymore. Most people seek validation that what they think/belief is right, not about whether it's actually true.
As a new high school teacher straight out of uni, young people almost completely lack critical thinking skills and when we try to teach these skills in school the only way to do it a via life experience conversations (this is in Australia anyway)
I would like to know what you think abt witchcraft and mental illnesses. I feel like it's even more of a struggle when your trying to start, and especially if you have anxiety. Others think that mentally ill people are just gifted but isn't that demeaning to their struggle? Hi! Can I use any kind of salt for a protection spell? I can't really afford to spend money and I wanna use what I have. Can I just use the salt I use for cooking and stuff? I'm thinking of using a small white candle, olive oil, rosemary, and salt. Is it alright if I carve in Algiz into the candle, rub oil into it, roll it around in some rosemary, put it inside a salt circle, and burn it? So this might be an unpopular opinion, but I actually disagree with the stance of not listening to White Supremacists. It's possible to disagree with someone on every single level imaginable and still absorb and gain perspective on their reasoning for what they believe. As terrible as it sounds, they *are* human. Understanding why people get sucked into extremist worldviews, as well as what causes those extremist worldviews, is the only way it can be prevented from occurring in the first place.

Hi! Can I use any kind of salt for a protection spell? I can't really afford to spend money and I wanna use what I have. Can I just use the salt I use for cooking and stuff? I'm thinking of using a small white candle, olive oil, rosemary, and salt. Is it alright if I carve in Algiz into the candle, rub oil into it, roll it around in some rosemary, put it inside a salt circle, and burn it? I'm really new to this and it is something I saw on tiktok for baby witches. Another question - can I also carve a sigil into the candle? Tysm!

So this might be an unpopular opinion, but I actually disagree with the stance of not listening to White Supremacists. It's possible to disagree with someone on every single level imaginable and still absorb and gain perspective on their reasoning for what they believe. As terrible as it sounds, they *are* human. Understanding why people get sucked into extremist worldviews, as well as what causes those extremist worldviews, is the only way it can be prevented from occurring in the first place.
