We all woke up feeling a little rough on Day 5 of Trans Andes, but it all turned around when we reached the top of the climb. This was the best possible way to finish an incredibly grueling and fulfilling week. Huge thank to our team - Coach Mike, Dane, Dina - for getting us ready for this event, and to the TAC crew for putting on an amazing event. That lava field was G N A R L Y. Lo was super enjoyable to watch, especially her single track and descents.

Absolutely loved watching Syd screaming down the descents like a bat out of Hell, her fire and spirit reminded of my late wife. A lovely trip down memory lane for me. Luv ya, Syd!!!
That was an AWESOME video series. Congrats on the wins - Syd by TWO HOURS. It's quite an accomplishment to do so well in the Andes, but to then be able to turn around a make such a compelling documentary series about it... you guys are the real deal. Keep up the good work.

On rewatch, I'm really impressed by that section at 19:30 and how smoothly Macky rode it. Truly impressive to stay on your bike at all in that kind of terrain! I'm sure I would be walking with my bike on my back after barely a couple meters.
The longer I've ridden, and watched Macky. It makes me realize every video. He is an absolute animal. Insanely skilled, and humble on top of it all.
It seemed pretty apparent that no one could touch him when it came to downhill and technical sections. He is an animal, well done!

I mean wow on a few things! Syd, what a comeback from injury, hugely impressive, quite an inspiration. Macky, the speed at which you descend blind is just inspiring. To hear you went with the 120 TPI tires over your usual 60 TPI and had zero punctures...I mean, after seeing the terrain and the speeds you both ride at, would you ever go back to 60 TPI? And to do this for 5 days and really nail it on the last day in that terrain on XC bikes with true XC tires...I'm speechless. Lo and Joe also very impressive...that is just a tough 5 days for all of you. Heck a tough 1 day for most of us!

@12:42 Macky this is where you should've raced BMX as a kid. Personally I would've just swooped the guy low-high in a berm or touched my front tire to the back of his heel, to make the pass. From one of my favorite movie quotes, Rubbing is racing!

OMG! 120tpi sidewall in lava, I rip the sidewalls out of way stiffer sidewalls than that in our AZ White Mtn lava.

Wow, what an adventure that has been!, I thoroughly enjoyed this whole series. Seeing you actually ride that volcanic rock field just blew my mind. Today on my road bike I had a few moments I was worried about some debris on the road surface, I now feel a bit embarrassed 🙂

OK that race series was AWESOME! You guys killed it and that was so fun to watch. I have to admit Jo is gonna give Syd a run for her money on the self talk during the race she's quite entertaining. Another great vid from Syd and Macky and congratulations to you both!! We NEEDED the Lo perspective to remind us all that Syd and Macky are pros not only at racing but at commentating.. But Lo cam made this vide because it reminded us that above average riders like Lo and Joe can be competitive in these events. I imagine the unedited Lo footage would have required an R rating for language on CZcams 😂
