After watching this I junked my free cloudflare account and used Bunny instead. After the whoops a daisy I forgot my SSL certificate came from my Cloudflare account rectification, my Lightspeed plugin, running on a Lightspeed server started behaving much more as you'd expect it to.
I then activated ShortPixel's adaptive images (prior to this I had disabled image compression in Lightspeed in anticipation of using ShortPixel AI).
Then test again and woosh! Like viscous substance flying off a shovel. 95 percent for both mobile and desktop in pagespeed. I know exactly why the last 5% isn't covered and I'm not prepared to remove the really cool interaction from my home page to rectify it! I had no idea Cloudflare could be such a poor "solution". For me, Bunny CDN for the win.
Thank you so much for the heads up, Paul. Really appreciated. I was so disillusioned I came here to check out an alternative to Lightspeed as I was so disillusioned. Esp as the speed was so poor on a Litespeed server. Turned out my problem was my CDN. Something that should have helped was holding things back.
Great to hear this helped shed some light on the alternatives and that it's worked out so well for you. Awesomeness! :)
I love the fact you considered 2 camera angles even in the car!! You can take the man away from a CZcams setup, but not the CZcams setup out of the man!!
Lol.. it's all about the angles ;0)
Hey, Paul. Fantastic tutorial video. Will pick up WP Rocket and Bunny CDN through one of your links. Thanks again for all of your hard work and terrific content. I'd be stuck without it.
Another fantastic tut. Well presented and packed full of valuable information. You have helped me alot on my continuing web development journey. Thanks again. And a shout out to the Wain-Y-Clare 🙌🏼
I have been waiting for such video for forever :)
Awesome tutorial and easy to follow, thanks!
These metrics are good, but can also be very time consuming. As you mentioned the key thing is to build a site based on a set metric, load time within 2 seconds on at lest desktop and also mobile.
Another great vid Paul - thank you.
Hi, "These metrics are good, but can also be very time consuming" what do you mean by this?
Thank you so much.
Great content, thank you very much.
Thank you very much !
whooooo, what is this? I just happen to use both of these lol. great vid.
Thank you so much for the great content, information, instruction and clean tutorial. I did save myself some extra steps with the bunnycdn plug in. 🤣🤣
Very technical but I see this Very helpful to my new website
Nice job btw!
After this video, I tried to implement bunnyCDN.
For some reason, bunnyCDN does not work well for me. It's slower with (about 10 times) than without.
Any idea ?
Thanks for this video! Did I understand you correctly, that the BunnyCDN datas need to be entered twice, as first into the BunnyCDN plugin and then into WP Rocket? Many thanks in advance.
Excellent :)
Thank you for the tutorial.
Don't you think the option "Disable CDN for admin user:" should be checked so when someone is working as an admin we don't utilitze the CDN resources ?
Thanks!
Hey, I don't have optimise google fonts option. Where did it go?
What does setting cache lifespan to "0" do? Not sure.
Awsome 😍😍
can bunnycdn be used with cloudflare in wp rocket?
Paul I have check many websites/ecommerces and many use google cloud platform & godaddy. What's your thoughts about those?
How does this impact the SG Optimizer plugin from SiteGround? So I would deactivate the SG Optimzer and use the plugins instead?
I'd generally recommend keeping things to a single caching plugin for sure.
I'd also test out SG Optimiser to see what results you get before adding a 3rd party paid for plugin. 👍
Do you provide website and WP Rocket installation and optimization as a service?
Great ❤️
The intro feels like a Top Gear's cutscene with Jeremy Clarkson. Anyway nice vid!!!
at 11:37 you state that you will lose transparency if converting png to jpg, yet the description to the right of the checkbox seems to warrant it will only convert png that do NOT have transparency already. Do you know if this is correct?
Oh, you could well be right. It's not an option I would use, so really didn't spend too much time looking at the nuances of the option. If it says transparent PNG files will be left untouched, then that is right. :)
thanks
Can this is right way to create website , make child theme of blocksy theme then parent theme use. What you suggest me create child theme or not for site.
What did you do with SiteGrounds Cache, SGoptimizer? according to WPRocket, they are comparable, but did you delete it?
you can use SG Optimiser to use the memcache and server side cache options. Thats what I do.
I simply used SiteGrounds default setup and removed the SG Optimizer plugin to not skew the results with additional plugins. I think many people who don't have a lot of experience with caching would not necessarily feel comfortable messing around with server setups, so I didn't include it. Besides, not everyone using this guide will be on SiteGround, so the hosting account wasn't an integral part of the guide. :)
Shortpixel Ai vs IO? For blog site
sorry for spamming comments but do you need the bunny CDN plugin as well? I have been using it with out the bunny CDN plugin and its been working fine.
It recommends using the plugin for WP sites, but if you're using it directly inside WP-Rocket you may not also need the plugin.
Hi Paul, I'm guessing there really isn't much pint having a cdn for local company sites. Is that right?
Pretty much. The CDN is only really going to benefit people in a different location. You could get some server resource reduction for users, but not too sure if it would be worth it.
Is it possible to buy a wp rocket single package and used it for multiple websites?
No, you can't buy a single license and have it active on more than one site.
Why not add bunnycdn using the cdn options in wp rocket? One less plugin and works great
Good point and one I certainly missed in the guide.
not working for me with the bunnycdn instate of cloudflare......to much slow
Nice tuts. BUT If you are using WP Rocket on your site, then you don’t need the BunnyCDN plugin. And don't worry to check "Enable CDN" in WP rocket when you put your CNAME :)
Well spotted. I noticed I hadn't checked it right after and checked it before running the tests..
Is WP-rocket better than sg optimizer?
Both are great, but it's worth bearing in mind that there are a lot of factors that influence overall site speed and caching is only one part.
Which one is more better, rocketcdn or bunnycdn?
I've only tested both briefly, but for the money, I don't think Bunny CDN can be beaten.
How much does it cost a month with webhosting , wp-rocket and bunny cdn?
It really depends on usage and requirements for the site. BunnyCDN is very low cost in terms of US/EU server locations ($0.01 per GB for lower usage websites), SiteGround would set you back around $5.99 per month for the lowest tier and WP Rocket for a single site is $49.
As with all these things, you can find cheaper or alternatives, but there really is no 'one size fits all' solution for pricing or facilities.
a) Digital ocean - from as little as $5 pcm
b) Rocket - about $49/yr for 1 site
c) Bunny CDN - PAYG - But for average site, under $5/pcm
so averaged out, under $15 for awesome hosting and a very quick site which gets amazing speed scores on GTMetrix and Pingdom - I get around 443ms for a 3MB page which is insane for the low price I pay
you also get about 50GB of storage space with digital ocean - you can use a plugin such as Offload Media to store your media (images etc) and just keep your actual hosting for running the core site. If you can't do it yourself, I've used people on freelance sites to set up for about $20 one-time
Hope this helps
@@WPTuts I check your website speed with gtmetrix and with pingdom tools. GT from US I got around 3 s (after 3 tests) and with pingdom is about 2.5-3s It is not so fast you have a very light weight website and only 12 requests. Why do you use google cloud platform and not siteground for webhosting and why isn't the website loading faster with the pay plugins?
@@pellekarlsson152 what site are you referring to?

Hello Sir my Website is Taking 7 to 10s It's too much
P.S. Is you Bunny CDN link an affiliate?
I don't believe so. Besides, they are so cheap it would be pointless being an affiliate.. It would take me 6 months to make enough to buy a beer! 😂
What about Runcloud CDN?
I'm afraid I have no experience with it, so couldn't comment on how good it may be. :)
So many options and so little time (and budget). lol
Sir
Kindly post a video on product compare or post compare...
Not really sure what this would have to do with the content of this guide????

Class video! Still all good to use?
Yes, all still good to use.
@@WPTuts so I followed the whole process and it did indeed make the desktop really fast but mobile is still like 60. Do you do consultations?
Do you know what can cause a slow WordPress dashboard? My website speed is mine but my dashboard is slow and sometimes I have to refresh the page when selecting different menus.
You forgot to tell that you need to check the box: Enable Content Delivery Network. 35:37
i was thinking Smush is better:-)
